I thought it'd be an explanatory version but only the poem is given n no explanation.... I returned it... And also the book was slightly old ...

The version I received has no translation and the english used in book is little different! First 3 pages of book damaged / folded in ways that I cannot even cut it! Sides of the books are already folded alot looks like used one. Also did not received it in a gift wrapper even though it was marked as Gift pack! But the book print is good pages are little thin but readable hence decided not to return!

Only dissapointment is of getting an old edition Book,though I chose not to return! I'm really angry that the edition they are showing is not the same what they deliver.

The book arrived in bad condition This is not the first time this has happened The cover is folded, and the book was bent too

Full of mythology... needs to read other greek mythological books first.

I bought this because it is the early modern Chapman translation. It really is excellent. Might not be to everyone's taste or philosophy of translation, and if you want an easier read there are loads to choose from. Book itself is surprizingly good quality for the very reasonable price. It has a slim but informative introduction, a glossary, and helpful notes.
