My insurance does not cover this item, they only pay for the adhesive pads. I used these during my hospital stay, they were so nice. I have used the adhesive wipes before, and was not very impressed with them. Having basically an adhesive applicator shaped like a small lollipop makes stoma changes easier. I use one side for the first pass close to the stoma, and the other side to make a second pass at the outer edge of the first. My appliance usually stays attached for 6-7 days, with no issues. Just change out your bags as needed.

If you are using barrier wipes, this wand is simple and effective to use. Essentially, it's a pad on a stick, but having the stick gives more control and seems easier. Admittedly the cost is higher than a box of wipes, but the convenience is something to consider.

Works well. Easy and drys fast. But very expensive considering how quickly you can go through it.

I have a plurex catheter that is covered by a large adhesive and changed daily. Every time I changed the adhesive I was in tears from pulling off my skin in an already tender area. After just two days my skin started to heal and has been completely pain free. Easy to use and worth every penny spent.
