You sent me a used screen opening tool.

Too little distance between then so I could apply pressure, screen would lift but eventually both parts of the tool would touch each other and unable to apply further force. I had to do it a couple of times to loosen up.

I used this to lift the screen from an iPhone XR, it worked great with no issues. the rubber cups have a strong rubber smell that took a while to off-gas but in use, no problems.

Easy to use and more powerful than the cheap ones that you get shipped with the free "tools" for most batteries. I found this faster and simpler to use, the extra plastic holder was just a distraction. Fairly easily pulled the glass cover off the back of my S6. They don't tell that you will most likely destroy the pretty foil lining inside your covers. Ah well. battery is replaced and that is the main thing. Worth the money to get the job done. Don't forget to tell your mates you have one. As these are pretty well a one time wonder. Save the plastic, share the tool ;-)

After 10 uses this product broke down. Poor value

This tool is really useful if you're planning to open up a modern, sealed phone. Just one thing: at the step you use a hot air gun or whatever on the phone, make sure that the glue is softened enough that a gentle pressure on this will part the edges. After that, you're good to go.
