The holster is a good deal and does allow extra space on a duty belt. However, the typical magazine draw cannot be achieved by sliding the thumb between the body and the mag for a firm grasp. The way this set-up places the magazines sideways, you have to unsnap and while holding the flap out of the way, rotate your wrist and obtain a firm grip between the thumb and forefinger. After clearing the holster you have to place the mag in the magazine well and almost change your grip to allow your fingers to move and then complete the load using the palm of your hand to successfully seat the mag. The set up simply does not work effectively for a quick reload.

Great product from a reliable company. Safariland is what all of our duty gear is. Decided to give the slimline a try. Really like it. The slim line is about 1" narrower than the standard magazine holder. Due to the set up the magazines do have to be turned. It's not a huge transition to get used to. With all of the gear that is being carried on duty belts now, this is a great option if your looking for real estate on your duty belt.

Did not realize they were for a law enforcement belt and positioned differently.
