Lights my way! Wish I’d have gotten the spot instead of the flood but these really are nice lights.

Not a ditch light
I bought these lights to use on my 2015 Toyota Tacoma as ditch lights. I bought the hood mounting brackets separately. I have purchase lights direct from KC HiLiTeS in the past, but thought I would try Amazon this time around.First, they are built very nicely. The have a gloss back finish that looks really nice. The stone guards are a bit of a bear to get on and off. They are plastic, but seem to be substantial.Second, they look great on my truck. When paired with my bumper mounted 4 KC SlimLites these lights fit right in. I purchased a pair of 3" vynil covers so they would match the covers of my slimlites. The covers were not made to go around a 4" light, but after tried a few times, I think I have a pretty good method for getting them on and off.Third and most importantly, these lights have a "SPREAD BEAM" pattern. Mistakenly, I thought they would make good ditch lights. I only used them for about 15 minutes or so driving on a dark road near my house, so I will edit this review once I get on some deserted off roads in the coming months. The problem is they are more of a spot light thand a flood light. The KC website calls them driving lights. They go on to say that the will enhance your high beam headlights. I have not pointed them straight ahead yet. I had them angled. They have a really bright spot beam and with they shed light around the bright spot, the light around the spot doesn't appear to penetrate too far. The spot portion of the beam is very hot and looks OK, but its too focused to be super useful as a ditch light in my humble opinion.Lastly, at $160 bucks, I want to send them back, but I think they look so good on the truck. I will most likely keep them until I find the perfect light. I will post some pictures soon.
