This was purchased for an upcoming hip replacement. Our "regular" installed toilets are "comfort height". This product offered an additional 4"+ height to our already tall toilets, plus side rail support. My height is 5'6". One feature that was important, was that our "regular" toilet seat went on top of the riser. DH installed this in the matter of minutes. 9 weeks later, it has only had to be retightened 1x. The handles are sturdy and easy to push off of when standing. The product has been a true help in providing comfort and security. This riser was worth every penny! The additional 4+ inches in height made all the difference in comfort for my hip. Make sure to measure your hip width if you are a plus size person to make sure you'll fit comfortably between the side handles. Highly recommend this product.

I bought this for my 88 year old dad. He was adamant about not having a frame-like device that surrounds the toilet and the bars are on the floor. So he looked at this one and told me to order it. It arrived quickly and we installed it. He loves it. It is very sturdy and it helps him so much. His hip and knee both are totally worn out. It is a good quality product. He has an older round toilet and it fit, but he had to buy a new toilet seat that would fit this device better than the one he had.

The product is of good quality, but installation wasn't as easy as we hoped. The holes on our existing toilet seat were too small for the bolts that were included in this product. We had to drill out the holes for the bolts to fit. Not sure if there's a way to make the bolts universal. This was a newer toilet seat. Overall pleased with the purchase.

I used this to recover from a cosmetic procedure that made sitting down on the toilet difficult and painful. I used these handles to support my weight rather than the seat most times. I’ve been using it for a month and it’s held up nicely!

Very bad buy. It did not fit our toilet. I attempted to return it, unused; however, the seller was not responding and I had to get Amazon involved. The seller asked me to take a picture of my toilet. Really. It was already packed and ready to ship back in the box it came in. ****************** UPDATED REVIEW********* It was one star now is 3 because they actually sent a shipping label to return the unwanted product after all the boofonary. I ended up giving it to an elderly woman down the street, so I will not be using the label. I wish they had not put me through the pictures or no refund stunt in the first place. The review would be higher than a C.

My wife selected this product since she would need it after undergoing a knee replacement. We weren't sure that it would be exactly what we needed, but it is nearly perfect. Installation was easy. The only thing that needed care was to make sure that the wing nuts did not cross-thread when installed on the bolts. I was working in a small area, and installing the wing nuts was done by touch. The bolts were of sufficient length to allow enough movement to get it right. The toilet is a Kohler, and the existing seat was one that lowers slowly, and the riser fit well. My wife is quite pleased, and this will save her considerable effort and pain when getting up from the toilet. The one drawback is that I will have to improve my aim considerably (older guys will understand what I mean).

This was a life saver for my husband and I! He is recovering from an accident that put him in a coma for a month..so he is still a little off balance. We had a bedside commode frame over our toilet before and he hated it. I installed this product today and he loves it! He said it is so comfortable and the height is perfect. I like the addition of the handles as well.It was super easy to install. I’m a woman with no plumbing experience, had never changed out a toilet lid, and I had it on in 10 minutes. No tools were required to install, but having a Phillips head screwdriver to tighten the bolt was a help. Overall I am super satisfied with this product and so is my husband.

I bought this for my elderly mother's toilet after she fell and broke her hip. That was over a year ago. To this day, she still likes using it. The few extra inches in height make it easy for her to sit on the toilet, and the handles help her get off of it. I'm glad this purchase has turned out so well for her.
