Fun, funny
This is the third novel by Valente that I've now read. The good is that she writes fun, hilarious romances. Her heroes are good guys (woo hoo) and she always mixes in some vulnerability with the sexy times. In this novel, Nowicki was a sweetheart. I loved it that he wasn't a total player. One gets tired of the sports romance where the guy has been around the block so many times, it's tedious. I also liked how he had this disability that he was dealing with in a mature way, like an adult. Tanner N for the win! That said, I did kind of wish there hadn't been as much insta-lust here. It's not that I don't think you can fall for someone fast... but for me, for a love story to really resonate, it also has to be about falling in love not just with the body but with the person. For this, you do need the H and H to spend time together. I felt like everything in Tanner and Dee's relationship-- especially the ending!!!--moved too fast to be believable given Dee's background and hesitations. I also was a little skeptical at Dee's backstory. How would a Canadian woman end up working for the national park service? How would she get a work visa in the US? Are Dee and Brendan half American? My other reason for this not being a home run is that it's the third Valente novel I've now read back to back and although her books are fun and totally readable, I would like a little more variety among the male characters. On the surface they have different issues/personalities/backgrounds (Justin is a player who crochets, Brendan is scared to take risks etc)... but at some fundamental level they don't really have very different voices, they're all dudes whose internal dialogue emphasizes how like to go down on women and have sex six ways til Sunday. I think if I had read them months apart I might not have felt this way... but since I read them close together there was just a lack of distinctiveness in the voices.Still, this is not meant to be a huge criticism. I have Valente's book on auto-buy because they are fun and funny and always put a smile on my face!

5++++ stars and OMG - did you see that cover!! That's a 10 for sure.
So let me first say that I absolutely FLOVE this series and Lili so hard!! Each male lead has been my favorite, but I'm not sure any of them can beat out Tanner. For once - it is a hockey player who ISN'T a player; who remains true to his woman (not just in the fidelity sense) and is such an awesome guy all around. Here are the varied reasons why I love Lili Valente books...Wanda the pig...Mr. Prickly Pants...killer mermaids...squirrely brain...magical unicorn (part of the male anatomy)...phobia names that no one else would know. <3Favorite quotes:"God I f***ing miss f***ing.""...a night to pretend I still believe there are a few princes left in a world full of jokers, liars, and thieves.""Now shut up and come for me, psycho." "You're psycho.""All of us deserve to be loved. Especially lovely little weirdos like you."You will absolutely fall in love with Tanner and Diana. Diana is a little broken Beach Pixie and Tanner is just the guy to fix her up. And the words of wisdom out of the mouths of babes may be one of my favorite parts - right before the starring role of Mr. Prickly Pants. This series is one not to be missed!! It has so much heart, humor, great pets, and even better nicknames. One of Lili's finest which is saying alot!!!!!I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Review: Bad Motherpuckers 3: Puck Aholic
Puck Aholic by Lili Valente is the third book in her latest series, Bad Motherpuckers . I would like to say that each book I read by this author becomes my new favorite EXCEPT that takes some of the magic away from the previous books. The way each story just flows so naturally off the page and into your brain. The dual POV's are seamless, the story never has a disjointed moment and the secondary characters are equally amazing. The sex is hot, the story funny and romantic, the ending happy. I can't ask for more, well, from the story - I definitely want more books by Lili!!!Diana is one of the quirkier characters but is absolutely adorable. Her issues with commitment and relationships is a battle we see unfold over the length of the story. It's a learning process for her that, with the help of her close friend, Amanda, she begins to come to terms with.Tanner is by far one of the sweetest alpha's I have ever read. He is strong and tough but so sweet and caring and never once a hot-head. It was a refreshing change. I mean, I like the hot-headed alpha's too, but not ALL THE TIME.This story was a fun, flirty, heartfelt read and I absolutely LOVED it! Enjoy!!

Great characters, great humor, and sweetly romantic with a really good HEA!
Loved the romance, the pig, the hedge hog and the creativity winding them through the tale. I laughed a lot and I cried—some

MCs: loved Tanner - Diana was annoying
Diana is flighty and crazy kooky. Someone might like her character, but not me. I really like Tanner’s story, and if it weren’t for him I wouldn’t have finished the story.

Pet Pigs and Killer Mermaids - what's not to love?
Puck Aholic – Bad Motherpuckers # 3 by Lili Valente – 5 pucking good starsThis is the third book in the Bad Motherpuckers series and can be read as a stand-alone.The Portland Badgers are a professional hockey team that this series is set around. Tanner Nowicki is a rookie on the team. He has just gotten through with his first season full of hazing and practical jokes. He needs to be on his game to find a place on the team. He’s “in possession of an encouraging, thoughtful, magical personality…” Diana Daniels is the Captain’s little sister, a photographer, and a girl with a wicked sense of humor. She is a self-described “walking talking, disaster-inclined proof of Murphy’s law (who) learned to roll with the punches and get back on my feet without wasting time and feeling sorry for myself.”Diana and Tanner meet one night while she is trying to save him from killer mermaids. This story is my favorite so far. It’s full of humor, heart, sexy times and a pet pig named Wanda. “She isn’t a fan of other women. But once she understands that you and I are just friends, she should settle down… The ladies love me, Diana. It’s my cross to bear”.I highly recommend this entire series.

An easy read
Tanner is an ice hockey player concentrating hard on his game so much that he hasn't had sex in ages. He meets a stunning woman down on the beach and he's totally into her but she backs off. The next day fate plays a part when his captain asks him to let his little sister room at his place. It's not long before there's fireworks between the two. Diane has had the worst luck when it comes to dating and Tanner is just an all round good guy, she's frightened. Tanner just has to show her that good guys exist.

Witty and sweet read.
Diana is a really plucky heroine with bad luck in her dating history. Tanner is her brother’s hockey teammate who doesn’t believe in casual sexual relationships. Wanda is the piglet trying to rule the house. This story is witty and sweet with a lovely moral that life is too short not to take chances. Entertaining and easy to read.

Sweet and steamy and fun.
Oh I love the characters in this story. They are so alive and welcomed me into their world. I have to say that Wanda just steals the show, lol. You'll see what I mean! I really enjoyed the story, it's both sweet and steamy which I absolutely love. It kept me entertained the whole way through.
