works exactly as stated. in fact, it works better then I thought it would. this is for the diy guy as you can only register 3 car makes on it. so it's not for car flippers or shops to use on multiple cars.what you need to be for certain of before buying. your device for the software from must be 32bit and android 7 software or higher you must have the internet to use the scanner. you must activate the dongle thru the car pal app once installed. the app will pop up a firmware update after activation. it's easier to activate plugging it in to the service port using bluetooth, then it is trying to scan the QR code on the dongle.to download the app: top don carpal in play store or apple.

Really useful whenever you’re scanning a car or going to buy one. This will tell you if there are any hidden codes for example, no check engine light. This will tell you if there’s any underlying issues. Not only that but I’ve had times where I’ve needed to use this on the road and it pin points the problem. For example, one night after work, I had to change an ignition coil and it told me which one it was!

La información que da es bastante completa y acertada. Tarda un poco en descargar la información del auto, ya que se hace por el móvil. Es algo que usarás muy poco si sólo es para tu auto personal, pero si trabajas con autos, creo que tal vez se quedaría un poco corto y deberías comprar algo más "pro".

Didn't have too high of hopes knowing the price point for this item. But I was woefully unprepared for the amount of Bluetooth disconnects that happened time and time again. This little obd2 reader failed to scan my car probably 9 times out of 10. Each time you start it takes probably 4-5 minutes to even get to the screen to select what you want to scan and that is if you can even get there without a Bluetooth disconnect. Now the OBD2 is connected to the cars OBD2 port and I am sitting with my phone less than 1.5 feet away from the scanner. So it's not like I'm trying to test these things from the max Bluetooth range of 30 feet or anything. This little dongle is more of a waste of money. I tried resetting a couple maintenance items and the times it didn't disconnect it told me it was unable to reset those maintenance items even though it flagged them as being able to reset. I had hoped I could trust the many good reviews for this product but Amazons rating system seems to have let me down again. This makes me seriously consider a real brand like Autel and not a brand that feels like a gimmick trying to make a quick buck with social media marketing.Car Brands used: 2014 Mazda and 2011 Honda
