Impressive
Can’t fault anything . Gives great stability and improves confidence to go out on the sea when less than flat calm conditions.Time will tell if they are durable but so far , no complaints.

Absolute amazing I can actually enjoy kayaking
The media could not be loaded. Great item and amazing stability. After looking at instructions they are misleading attach the holder to the kayak attach the 2 bolts to the pole that holds the inflatable and attach the fly nut then slide the head of the nut into the guide rail attached to the kayak to the distance you need then screw the fly nut to tighten to rail. DO NOT MAKE OTHER HOLES no need hope this helps

Great for kids or fishing
These fit a canoe perfectly and are well made and well put together. Made the canoe extremely stable so my very small kids could run amd jump around no worries. We even went through class 1 and 2 rapids (small stuff) on the delaware with them on and they made it super enjoyable because we didn't have to keep worrying about stability and telling the kids to stay low. I strapped them to the yoke of the canoe using ikea style tension straps. Had to wet the straps first so they wouldn't lose tension halfway through but it was no issue. Even if the straps loosen a bit the canoe is still stable with this design. I am 200 lbs and was able to easily get back in the canoe from a swim with these things on. Plus it was easy getting the kids in and out of the water with them, so they got a few nice swim breaks throughout our trip. They sit an inch or two deep in the water when installed, causing a good amount of drag since they are so short. This is great when with kids or large dogs as it makes the canoe extremely stable. But I might consider making a spacer out of a small peice of 2x4 next time to lift them up a few inches higher, so they just barely skim the surface when the boat is flat, and only dig in and cause drag when heeled over a bit. Or maybe ill just mount them sideways or upside down to get the same effect.I think these would allow a canoe to safely go into coastal bays and larger lakes even when the water is cold, and are excellent for fishing because you can stand up in the boat to cast or catch a fish no problem. I wouldn't take them out in particularly rough water but they did fine in 1 - 2 foot waves/rapids. They are too short, fat and draggy for a sailing or motor rig though in my opinion.A minor issue we had was one of the pins that keeps the floats fell off my first time using it, but there is enough friction alone to hold the floats on at least for a while (it was fine for a 6 mile river trip without it). Ill probably replace it with a through bolt and nylon lock nut in the future.

Decent setup, but plastic mounts that connect pipes to floatation tubes could be better.
I like the design and apparent quality, other than two details which result in 3 stars.First, the pipes are very difficult to get into or out of the flexible plastic mounts on top of the floatation tubes. Absent lubrication, moving them can be very difficult. I solved this eventually by lubricating the pipes and mounts with a bit of liquid soap. Once that soap gets washed away, getting the pipes off again could still be difficult, but I have not had to try that yet. In any case, the instructions should note that lubrication with soap is needed for assembly. These mounts are not designed for frequent disassembly, so users need to keep in mind that the two side pipes will have to be stored and transported assembled in the floatation tubes.Second, the flexible plastic collar into which the support pipe is inserted is too light. With the difficulty of getting the pipe in and out of the collar during initial setup, the corner of one of my pipe attachments has started to rip where the loop over the pipe meets the disk that is glued to the tube. It remains to be seen whether the rip will continue to develop now that the unit is all assembled. I suggest that this is a design problem that needs fixing by increasing the thickness of the plastic base that glues onto the floatation tube. One additonal detail is that mounting of this to a kayak will require bolting through the deck of the kayak, which could require some design work by the owner. If the deck is not flat, for example, the mount rail will need spacers beneath it where the bolts go through the deck. Never depend on this float setup by only using wood screws or the like to attach the mount rail to the deck, doing so could result in capsize if screws pulled out during paddling.

They work
They worked great for my canoe, they hold up to the logs and sticks in the river, definitely worth the money!
