This is a great find! It makes scooping-up ice cream so much easier! (And as one who LOVES ice cream, I just had to get this.)This scoop has a great weight to it, so it feels comfortable and sturdy. The colorful soft grip handle is a plus! It provides the grip you need, but it also feels good in your hand, without it getting cold while scooping.The scoop is nice and wide and seems to cut through the ice cream easier than the standard ice cream scoop.For kitchen tools like these, I want them to last, so generally, I hand wash them instead of running them through the dishwasher - even though they state dishwasher safe - especially since this is so easy to clean!I’ve been very happy with this purchase.

I do not understand how the spring chef ice cream scoop can work so well. It will scoop even the hardest block of ice cream or other frozen treat for that matter. It’s easy to clean, sturdy, and simply does what it claims to do, which is rare these days. You would think one scoop is pretty much the same as the next, or at least I did. For almost 70 years I’ve been using a scoop for my great grandmother, and that’s no small thing. The sentimental value of using it means something. but recently, it disappeared. Maybe it will turn up again. I hope so. Did the grandchildren run away with it to the sandbox? Did it accidentally get thrown in the trash? Meanwhile, we are an ice cream, eating family and we need a scoop! So, thinking one scoop is probably the same as the next, I searched Amazon for a scoop with the highest reviews at a fair price. The Spring Chef ice cream scoop fit the Bill and wow does it ever. I cannot recommended it highly enough.

Talenti gelato is hard... the plastic pints are small... this is the best scoop ever! So far I've broken an OXO brand scoop on Talenti, but this one is going strong. Great shape to the paddle, good heft, its really a superb design.
