This stuff is the bomb!

The marinade is just that - much thinner than a bbq sauce. I got the spicy, and it has a goodly amount of heat. Flavor is good. Penetrates meats well. Use as a seasoning, not a sauce topper.

I have been served food marinated in this at a party, so even though this is a gift, I know it tastes great. I gave 4 stars only because when I opened the box, one bottle was wet and smelled of the jerk sauce, even though the bottle and seal are intact. It does not say refrigerate after opening, so I am hoping the peppers preserve it, and it's okay to use.

I discovered jerk chicken at Eva's Caribbean Kitchen in Laguna Beach and even today its difficult for me to order anything but Jerk Chicken, Steak, Pork, or Salmon whenever I go there. Through the years I've made my own jerk paste and marinated chicken and steak and it all turned out pretty well. When I accidentally stumbled on to this Jerk Marinade I was skeptical, however looking to achieve that unique jerk flavor without 2 hours of prep and 24 hours of marinade, I read the reviews and thought lets give this a go. I ordered the spicy and it is that for sure, but its delicious, a bit on the salty side, but not too bad. It makes getting a little jerk flavor quick & easy, the last batch of chicken I marinated I was running a bit low on marinade so I added a little apple cider vinegar & some spiced dark rum which also added to the flavor and mellowed out the bit from the Scotch bonnets. This is about as good as it gets when buying in a bottle!

Nasty as hell

Great taste. Great in hamburger and steak marinades! However, I've bought packages of 2 bottles 3 times now from this seller and won't again. The last 2 shipments each had a broken and leaking bottle that had to be thrown out. No return or refund available. Other reviews show same issue. BEWARE!!! This company doesn't know how to package fragile items that are expensive for the buyer. Find someone else to buy from. I am.
