Amazing Little Machine!
I bought this machine so I could learn how to sew, I've never touched a sewing machine in my life. That being said, there is quite a bit of a learning curve but once you figure it out this machine is amazing! It's so small and lightweight, but I've been able to make many masks, pajama shorts and even a baby blanket. I would recommend buying your own needles, it may have been just my lack of knowledge, but both the ones mine came with bent really easily. It comes with an extender table, a few bobbins (some with thread and some empty), a needle threader, and a foot peddle. I so far have not had any issues with the foot peddle, but I always make sure I'm barefoot so I can feel it and not stomp on it. My light works perfectly fine and is very useful. There are some great and easy to follow videos on YouTube that explain how to use and thread the machine. Overall, I feel like it's been worth the cost, it does have a decent learning curve if you've never used a machine before, but I honestly think it is very versatile and strong for how small it is.I do want to add in that this machine will ONLY do a straight stitch, and it does not backstitch. It also only has two speeds (which in my opinion is fast and very fast). This is just something to keep in mind if you are also learning.

Has the potential to work very well
This little guy is actually quite amazing. Yes, it's plastic and yes you have to be careful with it. That being said, if you're just all and use it right it can do anything you really need to do. Also found a lot of hacks on YouTube around the one stitch with no reverse issue. I love mine and it's already paid for itself. It's really lightweight and easy to use and I love how portable and convenient it is to store and it works well for those quick fixes where I don't have to pull out the big machine.

Surprisingly functional
I really wasn't expecting much from this compact sewing machine. I didn't realize it could run off four AA batteries. My first thought was, "Aww. It's adorable." I got it for very basic sewing tasks and so far it has worked amazingly well. It doesn't have an on/off switch, just a button that will turn it on (meaning it is now sewing) or you can use the foot pedal to do this. The issue with this is there is no way to turn it off so the foot pedal won't turn it on if you accidentally hit it, unless you unplug the pedal. I also miss having a reverse, but you can get around that somewhat by just spinning your work piece to get that overlapped seam. All that said, it works. It came with a sample piece of material under the foot that shows they sewed with it. That means it is adjusted out of the box for the right pressure and I got great seams on the 30' or so of sewing I needed to do. I think I'll order one for our granddaughter too. I do wish it had that reverse function though... If you just want a basic sewing machine for small tasks so you don't have to take out 'The Beast,' this is worth the price.

An ok Sewing Machine
50% of the it does not pick up thread because you have use very high quality thread and not the thread it came with.Plus it is only good with light fabrics and not heavy fabrics.Make sure buy a butch of extra needles because you will break them fast.

My 7 year old is going to LOVE this!
My 7 year old has been getting into crafting often lately and she has been talking about wanting to sew and make her own pillows and such so I thought a sewing machine would be the best gift that I could find her for her birthday that is less than a week away. I did not want to get her a huge machine or spend a lot of money on one that she may not use a lot plus I have no idea how to use one myself so I though that this inexpensive beginners sewing machine would be the best bang for my buck at this point. I am super happy, it looks really awesome and even comes with a mini detachable table, foot pedal and spools of thread as well as a measuring tape and a book of instructions. The instructions being the MOST important part as I will be learning just as much as she was and we will be able to learn this together. The instructions are short and seem easy to follow which I really appreciate. It does come with a few (white and black) spools of thread but it doesn't come with any fabric so you will need to buy fabric as well as any thread if you need different colors. Very excited and trying to hold out on giving it to her early haha!

Doesn't work and I can't return it now
I ordered this in June for my granddaughter's birthday in July, so I had already had it for 30 days before her birthday. It is very loud and hard to control the speed with the pedal. In addition, the tension control was messed up and no matter what I did to correct it, it remained loose. I went to return it to Amazon and was told that because 30 days had passed, I could not return it. I might add that I am a very experienced seamstress and know how to adjust the tension. I am very disappointed not only in this product but also now I am apparently stuck with a machine that doesn't work.

Surprisingly Lite Weight
I have been using the machine to make doll clothes for three inch dolls. For the price, this is a great little machine. It is lite weight, runs on 4 AA, or via a wall socket. This is strickly a bear bones machine that only does one stitch and does not do reverse.I have not had to change out the bobbins yet, but the instructions seem pretty clear. My only complaint is the tension, It's very hight, but it needs to be to keep the stitches even. So when I go to remove the project from the machine, I need to pull the thread out of the tension to cut threads and tie it off. This would be great for a starter machine or something to travel with.

Great beginner kit for kids aged 10!
This was great for my daughter. Im not great at setting things up with instructions. Im sure a video would have been more helpful to watch a step by step process to set up. Sewing machines have a lot of moving parts, eventually we figured it out an hour later. Again, we wanted something simple and easy for my daughter to use. And that's exactly what this machine is. Can't wait to sew some cute items with it!Always turn this machine off when not in use! My son is only 8 and I take it out of the room at bed time just for extra precautions.
