Do the seats sit straight up or are they always slightly reclined?

They recline a little (they are never at a 90 degree angle)

can the stroller fold with bassinet on or do you have to remove bassinet before folding?

I did not buy the bassinet but I believe you would need to remove it based on the way it folds. In all honesty you could probably realistically skip buying the bassinet feature (they outgrow it sooo quickly). I’ve had my infant directly in the seat since 10 weeks old and the 5 point harness with seat laying back some and foot rest up is perfect. Also I have a 2 yo in the other side. If you didn’t feel safe with baby like that I’d buy the car seat adapter over the expensive bassinet. This would just be my personal preference though as a mom of 3.
