I have gone through quite a few car chargers over the course of time. Some lasted a few months, and others a couple of years. Eventually they all fail and must be replaced. It's easy to determine the failure point when the device being charged is no longer receiving a charge. I selected this particular compact car charger with a retractable cord by LISEN. My first impressions were that it is very compact for the type of car charger it is. Any car charger that offers retractable cords will have some bulk in order to store the internal cord with a push/pull type of pulley. I found this model to be just what I was looking for. It also comes with a USB A and USB C port to charge other phones. You must keep in mind that when charging more than one device, charging times will be extended.As you can see in the pictures, I use the retractable car charger to charge my iPad Air 5th Gen, however, I use a "right angled" adapter to keep the cable facing down therefore preventing accidental breakage. If not, the cable will stick out too far out horizontally and cause issues. This is an option on your part depending on your application. Charging times are fast and my iPad stays charged consistently for I am streaming non-stop up to 6 hours at a time.The build quality of this car charger appears to be very good and well designed. A blue light turns on indicating a successful charge. Always be cognizant that this light must remain blue. The cord length is just right and serves my purpose. I like that you can adjust the position of the car charger up or down depending on how you need it. In summary, the part that I feel will eventually go out will be the retractable mechanism that pulls the cord back into the charger. As for now, it's doing a great job, and if I can get 1-2 years of uninterrupted service from this unit, I will be happy. This is definitely a value added purchase that I recommend.

This is a sleek little beauty of a car charger. I just got a convertible with the fuse by the shifter and needed a smaller charger for the area. THIS IS GREAT. Moves different ways, plugs in just right... I have a cell phone holder on my dash, and the cord reaches well and charges well, too up on the dash board. With more cord room to spare too, the cord is NOT short. Then, just pull it and it snaps back into the charger base. Hope it holds up. It seems sturdy and looks nice. the other ones seemed pretty bulky for my car and now I have more storage room in the holder area for glasses , change, etc. Glad I came across this one.

Have to say that overall functionality of this charger is great, as is the compatibility with different android devices. The charging speed is great as well, even when dealing with bigger batteries. However, the one gripe I have about this charger is the retraction mechanism. It's great when it works right, but sometime you end up having to play tug of war to get it to retract. Aside from that, this is overall a pretty great car charger.

Ordered this for charging multiple devices in my vehicle. Most newer vehicles no longer have a "lighter charging port" anymore but this works very well & I'm very pleased with my purchase.

So far, so good! Works well and the cable retracts nicely. I read the retract will work for a year or two and that is good for the price I paid. Less wires and less of a mess and charges my Pixel 9A and iPhone 16 very fast.
