great product that's easy to install and made my office chair great to work on once again

Strong and sturdy. Slips right into the existing chair and brings it back to life.

This was only just long enough at maximum height

I purchased this to replace I unit I had purchased around a year ago. i was never really happy with the old one as as the down action only really worked when it felt like it. It was too much hassle to take out and return so I lived with it. For the last month I would come to use it and had to climb up as it was at the height of its travel.I paid slightly more for this cylinder, only a few pounds, but it was worth it. The chair glides up and down with only moderate pressure on the control lever and stays were it is put . Hard to explain why but this cylinder just appears to be high quality and well made. It certainly does the job.

Fitted withe ease

We have two tired gas lift chairs. I had tried replacing a lift over forty years ago, but it required Allen keys etc. to replace and slipped after reinstallation (just could not tighten it enough).These by comparison were easy. Quickly delivered. A few thumps with a hammer to get the old lift out of the base and the seat, push the new one in , sit on it and job done. These lifts are a little longer / sit prouder than the old ones, but that suits us. Given the massive loading ability the suspension is very firm, but also probably better that way.

So far it's working very well and even has a slightly higher lift than the strut it replaced. Hard to comment on quality - time will tell.

changed out the old one in five minutes and saved myself £80..also worked great.
