Awesome, works great.
Too many negative reviews for such a really good thermometer. I bought this set that came with the hub and 2 thermometers. You can connect up to 30 sensors on one hub. I am now using 4 sensors. Install the app. If u get a message about an update then download it. Follow the directions and connect to your home wifi , 2.4 ghz only is supported. Once that is done move on to connecting the sensor. Open the app and click the plus sign in top right corner. Use search bar for this sensor. It will show a tiny picture of it on the app if you selected the right one. You will get a message to keep phone close to sensor while connecting. Once it is found u will need to depress the side button on the sensor one quick time for it to finish its connection and make sure your bluetooth is on your phone. In settings on the app you will see Remote View, click it. Next screen will show device and the word Bound. Click on Bound this will allow it to connect to your wifi through the hub. Setup is really simple. If I can get these to work in less than 5 minutes u can to. You can rename the sensor and adjust min and max Temps for alerts. Along with how long it has to be at or above the alert level u set before it sends u an alert. I am using these to monitor 3 deep freezers and in one refrigerator with no issues at all. All refrigerators and freezers have different seals and with all of mine I was able to pull the seal loose from the door and ran the cord under the seal and into the unit for a cleaner look. I am not a fan of a cord showing but it beats having batteries exposed to constant sub zero Temps and failing frequently. I have played around with the alert settings and they have not once failed for an alert to my phone. My hub is mounted up high in my garage. It fit perfectly in the outlet for the garage door opener in the ceiling. If u mount it behind the fridge or freezer it will more than likely get a weak signal. I am pleased with these and I do recommend them. The hub does not have a built in battery backup and needs to stay plugged in to constant power. The app is free and has no monthly fees. Lots of features in the app and easy to navigate through. Wish I had these on my freezers before I lost all the food in one of them while I was out of town. Lost about $700 in food, not to mention a nasty smelly cleanup job and all of it could of been avoided with this monitor system.Update. I recommended this to a friend that uses an I phone, they downloaded the app from the play store, don't do that, it wouldn't connect to the hub. Had to delete it and start over using the QR code on the instructions. Everything works now with no issues. Customer support is a real person and they were awesome in their service. These do work like a charm.

It is easy to setup and use and is accurate as advertised
I recently (5-6-24) purchased the GoveeLife WiFi Freezer Thermometer Alarm 2 Pack, Remote App Alert. I can tell you it is easy to setup and use and is accurate as advertised.I have seen reviews about this device saying it can be hard to set up and there were issues with false alarms and the lower limit setting only went to -4 F.My experience with setup and programing went flawlessly. I just used the simple directions that came in the box. Download the app, plug the gateway into a receptacle, pull the battery disconnect tap out of the thermometer and plug the probe into it. Follow the directions and the app does all the work, prompting you for what to do next. Note, I was prompted to wait for the gateway to download an update, and then later for the the thermometer to downloaded one. I did not have to do anything to facilitate these updates except wait a few seconds for each one.As far as false alarms, you can easily avoid them by setting the time in the temperature alarm section on the slide bar to 10 minutes. That way if your temp rises when your freezer goes through the defrost cycle, or when you open the door to get something, or when you bring a bunch of groceries home and have the door opened for an extended period you shouldn't get an alarm unless the temp stays out of range for over ten minutes. After viewing temperature data for five days I found that my freezer temp never rose above 18 degrees and that was after shopping and having the door open for an extend time while rearranging and putting stuff in. Note, when I first set it up I just had the probe hanging on the door so when you had it open it was effectively reporting room temp after a few seconds. I moved it about half way back into the freezer and stuck it on side wall. Now I don't get immediate wide temp swings when we open and close the door. Reaching in to grab something quickly will produce a 2 to 6 degree temp drop and temp returns to normal within a couple of minutes after closing the door. I can actually look at the recorded data and tell when the door was opened or the freezer had a defrost cycle. As far as the lower limit setting, mine has a lower limit setting down to -40. This may be something that will change for the units that only have a -4 setting with an update. I set my lower limit to -12 and upper at 22. My data stream shows that my freezer runs about -4 to -6 when it the door stays closed and it isn't going through a defrost cycle. I think the 2 degree swing comes from the ice maker cycling because it heats the tray the cubes are in for release and then introduces water from the service line to fill. My probe is mounted near the area of the ice maker, if I moved it down a shelf or two it might not see this fluctuation. I likely won't move it as it is just more data about the normal operation of my freezer. This is a great way to protect your self from a food loss and a smelly mess. Not only will it send an alarm to let you know something has gone wrong but you can see by looking at the date occasionally if your freezer is not behaving normally before it become a big problem. You can also tell if someone is holding the door while they sneak a few spoons of ice cream!I bought it so I have peace of mind when I'm on a trip. If something goes wrong I can call someone to go empty the freezer, keep the food from going to waste maybe, and not come home to the kind of mess that would take a hazmat team to clean up. The price was also great considering you get two thermometers in the pack. Great product that I would buy again.

Best temperature monitor out there but the app SUCKS!!!! Fire that software engineer!!!!!!
The app is complete garbage with very little adjustments to address the information you want displayed or how its displayed. for instance I want one temperature larger than the other while to other to alert me. cant do it or set a better notification so i know if one dips below its set threshold. other than a terrible app the display on the monitors is amazing and has a magnet inside to stick to the fridge, its very well thought-out! Great product, completely awful app, some might say the worst app they've ever seen!

Peace of mind + early warning system
On our farm, we have quite a few refrigeration units we depend on. This hardware and software combo by Govee is perfect for alerting us if any unit is out of range. I find that the sensors having a display on the front is very valuable. I can see the internal temp anytime, just walking by. The app is also very intuitive and does reliably alert via push notification. I liked the these sensors use standard AAA batteries and last a very long time. All components seem to be designed and manufactured well. I did make holes in the door seals to pass the sensor probe and wire through. Better than between the seal and the door frame, I think. I placed the sensors right on the doors of every unit. Since the magnets in the sensors seem to be quite strong. Super pleased and happy so far.
