This hair dye provides excellent coverage, covering my greys really well. It’s very easy to use, and after colouring, your hair looks quite shiny. I like to mix in a bit of my usual hair conditioner with the dye, so my hair feels soft as well. My only complaint is that it's not really dark brown—your hair ends up looking almost black. Perhaps a lighter shade could be tried for a true dark brown. However, I do like how it looks in black, so I’m sticking with this colour.

I’m partially sighted and my mum was going to awaiting and couldn’t get a hairdressing appointment. I have used here colours years ago when I could see so thought I would give it a go. I forwarded the instructions and it was super easy and the result was brilliant with no hair left and stunning colour exactly as it says on the box it was a medium brown with a hint of red, five stars all the way

I've been a lover of this colour since the 90s! Would not use anything else on my hair. I have very dark natural hair but a quick root touch up every 4/5 weeks keep it a lovely blonde and in good condition. I do leave it ten mins longer than most but I know my hair will handle that and never had an issue. Light smell and great conditioner included.

Daughter dyed her naturally blonde hair bright pink 5 wks back, then stripped it twice till it was basically orange, got this to try and get a more even colour, what a result, excellent coverage and an even result, gorgeous auburn in the light. Highly recommended.

Ive used boxed hair dye for years. All different makes but wierdly never the clairol one. My brunette hair was recently coloured a chestnut colour i hated. I put 5a on this to get a neutral brown and left it on all over for 11 minutes. Its absolutely beautiful. Rich , soft and shiny. A different league to all the other brands.

Got for my wife. Worked perfectly fine, plz order 2 boxes if you have high hair volume.

Very strong unpleasant odor for a few days.
