Really effective knife sharpener, longer than usual which makes it easier to use.

I settled on this steel after looking at all the alternatives on offer. I'm really pleased I did and I couldn't ask for more. After honing a knife with a standard steel it takes just a few light strokes on either side of this diamond steel to leave a razor-sharp edge. A few light strokes on the rounder edge sharpened my serrated bread knife too.

Very good sharpening steel. Knives are very sharp even with just a few strokes down the steel.

At last - a product to sharpen my kitchen knives that actually works and is so simple to use. Have already recommended it to a friend.

Fantastic sharpener when new . Don’t think the diamond coating will last long , after a month I can already see on the sharpener where I’ve been using it .But it works very well .

I did not know of the existence of this diamond coated sharpening steels until a recent chat with a chef who said most chefs use them as their go to (as opposed to for example sharpening rod which is not actually designed to sharpen a blunt knife!) - so I researched and found that the well known brands are mega expensive. So I bought this to see what it could do. It does the job - and quickly - it is worth watching some YouTube videos to make sure you learn the correct technique. At this price it is fine if it only lasts a year (my research suggested that the cheaper ones don't last too long - but let's see)
