Lovely train set. A really good price for similar on the market. Perfect for the Christmas tree which is what we wanted.

Bought for my grandsons 3rd birthday. He has hardly left it alone since opening the box. Good quality batteries (2 AA's) will last about three days. With two additions this train set would wipe the floor with the competition; it is a shame there is no remote control for on/off (small hands using the switch will usually derail the engine and carriage) and PLEASE can the manufacturer make spare track and points available. There is 14 feet of track in the box which is fine for indoors but this toy is so robust it cries out to be used in the garden and to be able to buy more track would make it even better. For a starter train set for a young child there is absolutely no point at all in paying almost £100 when this plastic beauty that has so much play value can be bought so cheaply.

Excellent value. A great train set and looks great. Definitely seems like a more expensive set. I did not experience the train coming off the track that some other reviewers have experienced. My main concern is now long the track connectors will last. If you undo and fasten them often I feel they may eventually snap as difficult to connect and you do have to bend the plastic connectors to do this.

My son loved me

What a great little train. Super impressed with it for the price and my son has had hours of fun with it already. The track is generous, you can make a good size track with it and the model itself is very well painted and detailed. It doesn’t look cheap at all, it’s only when you pick it up that you become aware it’s light plastic. The train is easy to set up as is the track, we had it ready to play with in 10. Battery compartment easy to negotiate also. All in all a pretty great buy.

It's a decent train set with a nice big track but the train doesn't stay on the track very well even without the carriage and comes off alot but for the price it's good.

The train set was delivered next day and very well packaged. It is a lovely retro train set and a lot is included and very good value. It is a Christmas gift for my Husband and we haven’t got space for a full layout but this battery powered set will be fun for him!

This train set was bought for my great grandsons Christmas present and he absolutely loves it! He is six years old and thinks it's wonderful!It is a bit fiddly for such a small boy to put it on the track but Granddad is always there to help out! ( He loves it too!) It's such good value for money, well made and quite sturdy if handled carefully. The sounds that it makes are brilliant too, so realistic and varied. I would thoroughly recommend this train set! Only one thing, I wish that there had been other products to add to this set, for example, buildings and model people, which would have been great!
