It has the same % of active ingredients as Vick's, but smells different. It almost smells minitier and with a tinge of fresh pine that I think comes from the cedarleaf oil. Unlike Vicks, Vaporex leaves a tingly sensation on your skin. It also feels less waxy on the skin compared to Vicks. It melted into my skin and was hardly noticeable. Vicks usually leaves that oily film on your skin.Vicks is a bit heavier and the spicy smell of the camphor is stronger. I'm not sure which one I prefer, but I find I use Vaporex more than Vicks now. The light and fresher scent is nice for Spring allergy season.

Much better than the reformulated other name brand.

I like that this is an alternative to other more well known similar products. I appreciate the alternative and having healthier ingredients.

This works as well as the old formula of Vicks. I’m so disappointed that. Vick’s changed its formula…it doesn’t smell the same or work very well. This Vaporex does the trick. I’ve had a bad head cold and at night I slather this on my neck and chest and snooze away. It’s really amazing. It soothes cough, relaxes you, and clears up congestion at least for a while so you can sleep. I’m very happy to recommend the product.

It really hits the spot when you're feeling under the weather. The pleasing scent compared to some other brands I tried definitely helps too.

I needed this for the vapor, but it's very mild...not strong enough. Smells great, just too mellow.

This is a traditional combo of camphor, eucalyptus and menthol that is effective for clearing out a stuffy nose and/or offering relief (albeit temporary) for sore muscles. Unlike other versions of this type of rub, the smell is not overwhelming, but still provides good sinus cleaning ability.Camphor is the leading active ingredient at a 4.8% concentration, followed by menthol (2.6%) and eucalyptus oil (1.2%). It also has some essential oils in the mix (cedarleaf oil and nutmeg oil) which may be the key at keeping the smell to a more pleasant level. The rub has a thick consistency, and has the same basic feel as petroleum jelly, but a tad less greasy.It's a good formulation of a tried and true treatment that works well. Very pleased!
