Liver protection
This product combined with TUDCA provides excellent liver protection during a pro hormone cycle. This is a great price compared to other ppc products. This is polyunsaturated ppc. Web MD says polyunsaturated ppc is used to treat liver problems. Swanson has ppc at a great price on Amazon but is not polyunsaturated so I am using Life Extension Hepatopro. Phosphatidylcholine 420 mg 200 Sgels by Swanson PremiumPolyenylphosphatidylcholine (PPC). Phosphatidylcholine is produced in the liver through a process involving SAMe. Supplementing alcohol-treated rats or baboons with PPC during alcohol feeding prevents the depletion of SAMe (Aleynik 2003).In rats, PPC treatment accelerated regression of preexisting fibrosis (Ma 1996). In a baboon study, none of the animals fed 2.8 g PPC per 1,000 calories (about 2 g daily per 20 kg body weight) developed fibrosis or cirrhosis, even after 6.5 years of alcohol feeding, whereas 10 out of 12 untreated baboons developed fibrosis or cirrhosis (Lieber 1994). In addition to preventing alcohol-induced oxidative stress, PPC stimulates the enzyme responsible for the breakdown of liver collagen (Lieber 1994).Among humans, two years of treatment of alcoholic cirrhosis patients with 4.5 g daily of PPC resulted in favorable changes in two blood parameters of liver damage, bilirubin and liver transaminases, among certain subgroups. Fibrosis, however, continued to progress, leading the authors to conclude that while PPC is effective in preventing liver damage among animals, it is less effective among humans with long histories of drinking (Lieber 2003) Life Extension SuggestionsPolyenylphosphatidylcholine (PPC): 1800 - 2700 mg daily2 pills a day combined with Aegis, TUDCA and Fish Oil should give me the protection I need for my liver on a pro hormone cycle. Does anyone know if polyunsaturated ppc is better than ppc?

good quality; not cheap
There are cheaper alternatives, but seems to be better quality than others. Does it help with liver function? Who knows?

Hairloss stopped!!!
Not sure how to write this review... i took this supplement because my latest lab result showed "fatty liver".. I DONT drink so i figure my diet had to change... i have changed my diet but adding this supplement has tremendously slowed down my hairloss to almost none...i also do NOT feel bloated after eating a heavy meal.. this supplement is intended to help support the liver but does so much more..at least for me...my skin is also much more clear and glowing... definetly works... a little pricey but so far so good. I have another blood work and ultra sound for my liver in 2 months.. I will keep taking and see if my "fatty liver" goes away or is minimized.

the only PC i know that rivals BodyBio PC
I knew for a while that the Patricia Kane protocol involved her expensive phosphatidylcholine. I didn't understand why hers was more expensive, so I didn't take it, until I finally learned why hers was different (something about liposomes) and took it, and wow... it is much better. Really helped me to detox mold/biotoxins.However, it's expensive. I was looking for another one that cost less. This one seemed good since it's also a good form of PC. I read about it on limbic retraining site.It is great. Helps me detox. I take 1-2 of these and 4 bodybio PCs a day, during intense biotoxin detox treatment.

Lecithin
You get the same thing from lecithin. This carries a premium price because it is highly refined.

Good for liver, skin, hairloss, mood...?
I purchased this from the recommendation of my naturopathic doctor to help with some minor problems of my liver (mainly from years of drinking alcohol and eating fatty foods.. fyi- I'm a 35 year old male). Interestingly enough I was already going to purchase ppc after some research saying it is good for anti-aging and rejuvenating skin. I also hear it can help with hairloss and improve your mood. The gel caps did arrive coated in an oily mess (as stated by multiple reviewers on Amazon, for different brands) probably because one of the capsules ruptured. By the way according to my doctor as well as WebMD you want the polyunsaturated version of ppc if you're dealing with liver problems as this product is.After a few weeks to a month I will try to come back here and update... Cheers :)

It helps both my mental and physical health
I started taking Hepatopro three weeks ago because I wondered if my metabolism has been progressively slowing down due to age and intake choices. And so far I've lost 7 lbs!And if that's what I CAN see, I wonder how and where else Hepatopro is working in my body. I know at the very least it is feeding my self esteem.
