Faber-Castell Polychromos Color Pencil Set - Pack of 120

The best set with unparalleled quality in terms of blending, ease of use and smoothness. The detailing with them is off the charts. They may seem expensive, but they are the best and will surely provide an experience that can only be achieved with these pencils. The colours are very beautiful and they create such jaw droppingly beautiful drawings that can only be achieved through these pencils even on cheap quality paper.To tell you the truth, even on pathetic quality paper you will get better results from polychromos pencils than most other brands can give on 200 gsm quality paper. And you also need way too less layers with these than from any other brand. Even if these colours are somewhat translucent, the amount of layers needed are almost half or even less than half.

Value for money. Ofcourse I don't want to tell that this pencils are great. It's definitely a professional quality pencil and I absolutely enjoyed it.

Anyone who knows these pencils will know how wonderful they are. Soft when you need, dark when you need, and highly pigmented, this is an indulgence. Has a good range of blue shades which I was really after. I had the 60 coloured tin, and these extend the colours beautifully. It comes in the same good quality tin, and 3 layers of colour. Each with a carefully placed covered elastic on the sides of each tray for easy lifting and placing. Beautiful artist pencils for a great variety of ways to use them, as paint, wet them a little, shading, sketching, colouring inn. Faber Castell, a company around for a number of centuries and continue to produce a most wonderful product. I prefer these much more than Cretacolour, they sharpen very well without breakage, use them dark or light, just awesome. Also great is that it comes with a couple of metallic, silver and gold and also great colours for face shades. Yes these are a lot of money, I am not a professional artist by any means, its truly an indulgence just for me. I would love it if FC put out shades of various colours, such as blue hues only, red hues, green hues etc. A definite buy. Thank you Faber-Castell!!

These pencils are break resistant and very fine which makes them great for small details. They also have great color payoff and are easy to layer.

okay, i know they're a bit pricey compared to others in the market. but these are sooo good. theyre very sturdy to hold, dont break easily, have an amazing mind blowing range of colours and very easy to blend and put together. the pastel colours line up so well with its darker shades and it makes your art even better. plus you can put tonnes and tonnes of layers with this, like a LOT of layers. the lighter shades are a bit translucent so starting with darker shades is a no no. these also come in a sturdy box. overall, a great buy if you can afford it.

This is the first time I'm using colour pencils and as you can see, the result is fantastic!Pros:• Blends well• Doesn't break easily• Lasts longer (I didn't have to sharpen any pencil for the first portrait drawing I made)• Easy to mix/layer different colours.Cons:• The white colour is absolutely useless, I have to try Prismacolor white.• The pencils aren't much soft, which it's actually fine with me, but I don't think everyone will be pleased with that.Follow my Instagram profile for more arts:@sujay_shah_13
