Strong Hold Without the Sticky Feel — Great Everyday Paste!
I’ve been using the Cremo Thickening Paste for a few weeks, and I’m really impressed with its performance. The texture is lightweight and easy to work with, and it spreads evenly through my hair without any clumping or residue. One of the best things about this product is the balance it strikes between high hold and low shine. It gives my hair enough structure to keep styles in place throughout the day, but it still looks natural — not greasy or stiff like some other styling products. It also does a great job at adding volume and making my hair feel thicker, which is exactly what I was looking for. I’ve used it for both casual looks and more polished styles, and it performs great either way.Another bonus is that it washes out easily with just regular shampoo — no build-up or heavy feeling afterward. If you’re looking for a dependable, everyday styling paste that holds without making your hair crunchy, I highly recommend giving this one a try!

Amazing hold for what it is. Takes a couple minutes to set nice but holds amazing
Once I tried this brand I quit buying hair gel and hairspray and every other hair product. I have very thick poofy hair once it gets long but I like to wear it in a slipped back look but I don't like a lot of shine either. A couple of good blobs in my hand rubbed around to where there's no lumps and then run run your fingers through your hair several times to shape it and leave it alone for about 5 minutes and it'll hold it like that all day. Very strong stuff. Start with a little bit first because a little goes a long way thankfully because it's kind of expensive and it's not a lot but you don't need a lot to get the job done even with super thick hair.

will last a long time
never bought a product this hard before, however a little bit goes a long way. I just followed the instructions and put a tiny bit (I mean tiny)on the palm of my hands and apply to wet hair holds great and cannot see the product. this will last me a minimum of a year.

A Winner
Tried a bunch of products, looking for reasonable hold without making my hair look plastic, greasy, have white flakes.... and be affordable.. this is it

Great stuff for my handlebar mustache
I love this for my handlebar mustache. I have never grown one before so I’m finding a whole new world of products meant for beard and mustache grooming. I’ve bought several types of mustache wax with varying results: some don’t provide any hold, some are too thick or tacky, many smell like pine tar and lanolin. This is a great compromise between having enough hold without the tacky texture. This also smells the best of all my products. It is also much more economical than the pine tar stuff. The only drawback I’ve encountered is that sometimes small white crumbs appear as the paste gels, but these are easily manageable with a wipe or comb through.

I leave the hair smooth and silky!
"Well, well, well, looks like I found the holy grail of hair products, folks. The Cremo Premium Barber Grade Thickening Paste is like the shampoo commercial hair I always dreamed of as a kid—minus the weird 80s mullet phase. This stuff gives you some serious *high hold* but without making you look like you dunked your head in a vat of grease (thank you, low shine). It's perfect if you want to keep your hair looking all fancy for your school... or if you just want to impress Veronica (I get it). The thickening part? Oh yeah, it works. My hair feels fuller, like I just went through a major character development montage. And it smells awesome, too—seriously, people will be sniffing your head all day long, in the least weird way possible. This 4 oz jar? It’ll last you a while because you only need a little dab to work your magic. Just rub it in, style it up, and boom—you look like a million bucks (and I know a thing or two about big bucks). Cremo knows how to keep your hair on point, so grab this stuff and make every day a good hair day. Stay slick, my friends!"

I don't think people understand what this is for...
It's getting a lot of mixed reviews, some loving it and some not so much. Products like this are very personal and subjective. But I think some folks are confusing this matte hair paste for other products and then don't like it because it's not what they're used to because it's not super gooey, not shiny, or doesn't have enough hold. What I learned is that this type of product is for people with fine hair, thinning hair, etc., so the first thing I learned from professional barber Matty Conrad is that when you have fine or thinning hair you don't want a lot of weight or water sagging your hair down. Gels, pomades, and the like have higher hold but also weigh your hair down making it appear like you have less hair. So the function of this type of product is supposed to be light and dry. So less is more in the sense that you don't want a ton of product in your hair weighing your hair down, making it appear stringy, saggy, or limp. Another thing is that hold is dependant on hair length, and so he recommends that folks with thinning or fine hair keep hair length between 3 to 5 inches. I actually bought this because his Victory brand super dry was out of stock and this seemed like a good comparison. I will say that I don't blow dry my hair personally, but he recommends salt sprays, matte dry pastes, and blow drying your hair and getting a cut that suits your hair type. All this to say, I think some people are not liking this product because it's not what they're accustomed to. But what they're accustomed to is usually made for thicker hair types. So it's all about maximizing your specific hair type. Also, it doesn't go into wet hair or on wet hands as well as others products. I've come to see this is because super dry matte pastes are made for dry to mostly dry hair. When used correctly I find it gives me the texture and hold I need, and smells clean and refreshing. Not trying to put folks down or anything, but I hate to see bad reviews because people are not up to speed on this sort of thing. Anyway, I'll be trying Victory super dry when it's back in stock, but in the meantime this is fantastic stuff. Just that you have to understand what's it's intended to do and how to use it just right! Hey I had to learn all this too! If you go to Matty Conrad's YouTube channel there's a video on fine and thinning hair that really helped me to understand how to maximize my own personal haircare needs. In the meantime, I think this product is getting a bad wrap because it's made for specific reasons. Hope this helps you guys and gals out there!
