Upper end costume quality when talking material and workmanship. I'm 5'10" and 180lbs. Wear a 42R or 44R depending on the cut and style of the coat. Bought an XL and it fell between these sizes and fit great. Purchased the black and it's really deep and rich looking. The gold jacquard and embroidery sets it apart from anyone else in the room.I paired it with a a pair of Vatpave embroidered pants and black knee boots. Threw in a black jabot shirt and voila', a victorian vampire. Added red lens glasses and a black top hat. Will look perfect for the Halloween vampire history lecture at our local museum. To sum it up....the look is spot on and fun.Sleeves are a bit on the long side so keep in mind when ordering. This is my 2nd tailcoat and plans are for more. Hope you have fun with it.

Well constructed, sized as marked, I did return it because I happen to have tilted hips and it made the detailing in the back look strange. Not the fault of the coat. Really liked the cut in the front. The front panel has a v shape that is much more flattering than many built in vest panels.

This is a very rich looking well-made item. My husband looked fantastic in it! Highly recommend. I bought him the breeches and a beautiful gold crown. He looked royal!

I’m 5’8 200lbs and ordered size 2XL.Super soft and comfortable material.Good theatrical quality. The length is perfect from top to bottom. The arms are a bit long and wide at the cuffs.(4stars)…I definitely recommend sizing up. I normally wear XL t shirts in a regular loose fit. So I ordered a 2XL it fits between a Large and XL. Lots of space in belly area. Gets alil tight under the arms. It does seem to stretch out n loosen up a bit after wearing it for a short while. In conclusion size up one size than you normally wear and you’ll be fine.My apologies for the dirty mirror

5'5'' / 118lbs. and ordered a small. I really wanted to keep it. It's gorgeous and boasts impressive quality, but I am too slim and not tall enough for it. Very unfortunate because I loved it so much. If your size is similar to me, take a chance on this coat to see if you can make it work. It would have worked "enough" for me, and definitely would have been perfect if I knew how to alter clothing, but it was just not the right fit and I could not justify keeping it.I ordered the black coat with gold embellishment. The gold design is quite detailed and beautiful. The interior of the jacket is lined, which many costume-quality items are not, so it felt a bit more premium!The only downside for me is that the material is not very breathable. You may get hot while wearing this coat, particularly if layering it on top of something like a ruffled shirt.Overall, the quality was worth the price I paid. I wish they would sell it in a size XS so I could buy it again and keep it.

This coat was really awesome and comfortable to wear but I really gotta give props to these folks because I wore it to a company Halloween party and drank just... way too much. There was so much vomit on this coat and I didn't even clean it until a few days later. Came out spotless and not stained at all.

i ordered the xxl even tho i usually wear xl, but xxl fits musch better
