Q: Please can someone tell me can the blade be changed to enable me to cut fabric left handed. Thank you.

Blade is centrally located so can be used either left or right hand. Hope this helps you.

I bought it for my wife. I don't think that she has used it as I have been seriously ill. So I can't answer your question. Sorry

Hello Lavinia,Yes, I use it for cotton depending on thickness up to 20 layers at a time or more. I use it on poplin, 10oz canvas and bump interlining. Only good for straight cutting and slight curves but highly recommend for time saving, it's been a godsend! However, there are no guards so a lethal piece of equipment and I won't let anyone else use it just in case ;) Hope that helps. x

hello Deborah, I returned it, it worked but the re-sharpening bit did not keep it sharp enough, also I had to handle it with great care as even the lightest brush against the switch such as laying it down when not in use started the blade whizzing, I had to switch it off to handle it safely. It is badly designed, the switch should be on the top so its visible, it should also be red in colour as all our other electrical tools are. I don't believe it complies with EU/UK safety regulations for power tools. It was a while before I tried using it, we'd had a bereavement, I had a bit of a fight to return it but when I asked about the legal compliance they agreed to give me most of my money back. It was all in Chinese, no English. Hope this helps. Eunice.

very good fluff can be brushed out rather than having to take the blade out which is good, only draw back is when you pick knife up the you can start it without meaning to

Excellent cutter.

Very easy to use, cuts anything thrown at it, including it's own cable at one point, although that was my fault. Self sharpener useful speeds up all our manufacturing processes.

Dangerous!

I would not recommend this cutter. It does not cut fabric easily, feels totally awkward and unbalanced to use, and the on/off switch is easily switched to the 'on' position by mistake.
