Organics Herbal Hair Colour Dye, Dark Brown, 110g

After using box dye for most of my adult life, my hair was in very bad condition so I wanted to ditch the chemicals and transition to an all natural hair care routine.I really like this product, my hair feels so healthy, and it has helped me to even out my hair colour during the awkward transition from light blonde box dye to my natural colour, which is dark blonde.It’s important to be realistic about your expectations though. This product isn’t a straightforward swap from a box dye, and you’re not going to get the same results. You have to consistently use this, and build up the colour over time, rather than have instantaneous change.It is messy - I am lucky enough to have a bath with an inbuilt shower, so I sit in the bath to apply the mix, wrap my hair in a plastic shower cap and then shower off myself and the bath afterwards.You do have to invest more time and effort if you want to go down the henna route, but, for me, it’s certainly worth it. I can see why this wouldn’t work for everyone though!

I love this so much. I use it to dye my brows and lashes as they're naturally blonde and leave it on for about 2.5 - 3.25 hours after simply mixing with warm water. I just remove it off my lashes with my fingers and use shampoo for my brows. This is a subjective review but honestly my brows and lashes have never felt or looked better with no more concerning chemicals, just make sure to mix outside and not breathe it in - definitely do it in a well ventilated large space (with the window open!) as it's bad to breathe in henna. Can't believe I'm spilling my one beauty secret 🤭 If it can work perfectly for brows and lashes it can definitely work well for hair too - just remember well ventilated, airy space, and follow the timings given on the box xxx

Having previously used a different brand henna dye I thought I would try this one. Upon receiving the item I made sure the dye was the right colour in the box. I mixed the powder as per instructions, all mixed lovely. Applied to hair and left it on for the required amount of time. When rinsing my hair, I noticed the water was a murky brown/green colour (the dye mixture was green and having used henna previously I knew that the water colour wasn’t necessarily the hair colour). I also noticed that my hair felt really dry too, I conditioned as usual. Whilst drying my hair, I saw that my hair colour (originally auburn) was quite dark and in the light it had a greenish hue to it. Once dry, not only was my hair so dry and frizzy but the colour was not auburn at all. It looked like a muddy, greenish brown. Like a murky river colour, nothing like the colour on the box. I have been using auburn henna dye for years and always got a lovely colour. Maybe I got a bad batch but will never use this brand again.

My hair colour is a creamy white and I hoped for a subtle blonde shade from the golden blonde I sent for (only used about third of the packet). My first attempt, after leaving it on for about 10 mins was quite acceptable, after the first wash it was a nice subtle shade. After 3 weeks, 2 washes per week, there is still a slight hint of the colour so I intend to use the product on a monthly basis. I have just sent for a pack of strawberry blonde and intend to mix the colours together to maybe give a bit more depth (and less yellow) to the blonde shade!!Time needs to be taken when applying the product. As the instructions say clip hair into sections and work on a section at a time. The cream product dries quite quickly after applying so work it into the section quickly before moving to the next. There was no irritation on the scalp.All in all a good product. I didn't give 5* because the application was quite messy.

This is the best henna I have ever used. It keeps my hair look more natural with all greys turned out as dark brown highlights. Now my fear is, what if they stop selling it :).

Item was fine but did not realise it came in powder form with the hassle of measuring it and mixing water. The box was a bit ruffled and powdery on the inside, but packet was sealed fine. My mistake so did not use and could not return, and and so gave it away as it seemed ok and A*CRUELTY FREE.

To colour grey, I needed to leave on for a long time. At least 10 hoursI then repeat a week later with the black colour
