I've been using this for a few years now. I only bother to shave twice a week and this shave oil is excellent. Always get a good, clean, comfortable shave.But my!! It's got expensive in the last year!!

Went bald a year ago and have the unfortunate curse of having very coarse hair that grows in a million directions, I’ve never had a clean shave without any razor burn or irritation (sometimes severe) because , until now!. I’m really amazed by this shave oil, I applied it first with shaving cream on top and not only have I been able to get the smoothest shave I’ve ever had last night,I also had almost no burn whatsoever considering how many passes I made. I’ll be exploring more shaving oils but from now but this has definitely set the standard high for me and I probably will never shave without oil again, extremely recommend!.I’ve only given 4 stars because it arrived in a box crumpled within the Amazon package, although the package was abit narrow so I suppose it was stuffed in to not use a bigger package, that’s fine with me. What was dodgy however was that the bottle itself had tons of micro-scratches on it and even a few deep ones which was strange, and there was also no sealing covering the cap or some sort of plastic cover to confirm that it was indeed a new product, though the bottle was full. This lost the product a star overall,but this is amazing stuff.

American crew shave oil is great for a smooth clean shave. I apply the oil then the American crew shave cream and shave away. It really helps stop shaving rashes and when I rinse my shaver it stops it getting clogged up. Worth the effort.

It's a very good product. Price a little bit to expensive.

I usually shave using King of Shaves oil and a Braun wet/dry electric shaver. I thought I'd give this product a try after reading good reviews.It is slightly more gelatinous than K of S. It is clear and has a strong smell of cloves; slightly unpleasant in my opinion. Not much is needed, but it tends to dry out as you shave, meaning you have to break off to wet your face again. Washing with soap after shaving is required to clear the smell of the oil. I won't to be changing from King of Shaves - in fact I have put this away in the bottom of the bathroom cabinet.

Never realised how useful a shaving oil was until I tried this with my new, eye wateringly expensive, electric razor.I could hardly feel the blades on my skin.Try some soon.

I love this product. I have thick black hair and use it as part of my shaving routine. It's got a very nice smell and it really does help protect against irritation and makes the experience of shaving more bearable. It washes off very easily and leaves a nice light tingle and feeling of freshness. Recommend the product.The oil itself is very light but effective, as I have said before, it has a nice smell, it tingles but does not burn (at least for me, skin test to make sure). It feels very smooth going on. It is not at all harsh and does not feel sticky either as some oils do. It washes off easily and does not leave any greasy feeling on the skin. The oil lasts long as you only need a relatively small amount per shave - although I guess this will vary with individual usage. However, as it's inexpensive I think that even with more frequent need to repurchase it will not be a costly investment for most.The bottle the oil comes in is nice also, the pump works well too although sometimes sticks - this could also be down to the individual bottle rather than being a problem that everyone will experience. I'm going to buy my second bottle.

I was looking for a device or method to give me nick free shaving in intimate area. I applied a drop or two and was able to get a very smooth shave. The scent is great and there is a slight cooling sensation after.
