Well Made and Versatile Vest
I wanted a mesh vest that I could wear when riding my motorcycle to hold my phone, satellite communicator, dog spray, and other odds and ends. All the pockets on this vest serve that purpose and keep everything handy. I usually wear size Medium shirts, but based on the other reviews I went with a size Large. That size fit me perfect over just a t-shirt. Then I decided to try to slip it over my mesh riding jacket - to my surprise it fit perfectly over that too. (Not sure how it's that versatile, but no complaints here!) It also seems to be well constructed, and the zipper works smoothly. I would recommend this vest if you want a lightweight & cool vest for summer use.

Very handy grab and go essential for my birding wardrobe
Compared to the expensive vests marketed in birding magazines, this is a tremendous value. Looks very nice (khaki) and appears to be well made. More pockets than you will know what to do with (and complicates finding things). If you fill them up and carry a field guide and camera, the vest (like any) will feel heavy hanging from your shoulders and banging into your body. On the other hand, all those things crammed into cargo pockets on pants and shirts are heavy and awkward too. So the trick is to distribute the weight.Even with the open mesh fabric, gonna make you a little warmer in the summer time, Hip pockets are large enough to hold standard sized field guides or a small (up to 8") tablet computer stored on it's side. I keep it stocked with a notepad, pen, field guide, and few small essentials (lens wipes, chap stick, tissues) and it is ready to go birding without a big production. However, if you are going to be away from a car for a while you may need to carry a water bottle and a rain jacket, in which case you are back to using a day pack.As noted by others, zipper pull is on the left / lady style. A water bottle specific holder would be a nice modification. You can carry a water bottle in an open hip pocket but it would project up out of the pocket and could easily fall out. On the other hand,t a full water bottle would add a lot of weight. Another helpful modification would be some kind of synch or belt so that it could be made to fit more snugly around the body to keep it from moving around when you are bending, climbing, twisting, etc. Delivery took 3 weeks.I am 5'10", 155 lbs athletic built male. large is loose over a shirt, but not so much as to be a problem. Wanted to err on the large side so I could wear over a thin jacket in cooler months. On the other hand, for only another $20 you could buy a second smaller one for summer!.

Really like it.
I need pockets for work because I do not want to drag a nurse around with me. I pockets could be a little more sturdy perhaps, but work. It you want to avoid purse carry in certain situations, these work.

Nice jacket for hiking
I would not use it as a photographer's jacket as it is not solid enough for the weight of a camera and lenses but this jacket is perfect to carry keys and wallet on a hike.

Go 3 times LARGER than one's American size for the most comfortable and useful fit. Updated.
Fast delivery. Appears to be sturdy and sewn quite well. Seams have no raw edges and lie flat. Tried it on upon arrival. Fit is doable if I don't wear more than a light jacket in cooler weather. I wish I had gone for a 2x instead of an XL since I will be using the vest for photography in variable weather situations. Will just have to wear it unzipped and hope for the best. Three stars for comfort (size I got is ok.... but.....!!!!) and value, again a 3 because of the size guessing game. Very, very light weight and has lots of useful pockets -- 4 larger ones and 6 small ones on the outside. Two large inside pockets. I'm hoping to carry enough "as-needed" equipment for short hikes or very specific shooting ops and avoid carrying my full camera bag.Update: Decided that I needed to return the vest. AMAZING how easy returns are for Amazon! Will reorder and go for a much larger size. Good vest..... bad costumer information.Update 2: Returned the too small vest. Since I DID really like the construction and the potential usefulness of the vest for photography, I ordered a 2LX.... it fits perfectly with just the right amount of looseness to ensure I can wear a jacket or sweatshirt under it. Again, go at LEAST 2x TIMES larger than one's anticipated size. I suspect this sizing tip should work the same way for both women and men. For utility vests like this one (work-not-fashion), a loose fit is part of the functionality.

Hiking Vest!
Every once in a while a well thought out product comes to market and sometimes it just needs to be repurposed and in my case it is used as a Hiking Vest.I'm not one for backpacks (heat, weight, comfort), so I thought I would give the vest a spin on my 2 hour cardio hike and it worked perfectly. What I like: holds a tall 9.5 inch beverage bottle horizontally due to the very large pockets, and it has so much extra room to carry everything else including headlamp, cell phones, keys, AirPods, wallet - and yes there still more space to add more! Now I don't carry all those items because of the added weight and it's just nice to know that I can because there are times I need to work while hiking. :-)The mesh is wide and strong and releases all heat. North Carolina is pretty hot in the summer and I required something with good airflow. It's possible you will feel a little warmer around the waist where all the pockets are located, but I leave my vest unzipped and that seems to take care of all the heat issues.

Seems to be a quality vest
The chest pockets are too small for current cell phones. I gave it three because of their photos, which made the pocket look longer. However, if you carry a small phone, this vest is very well made.
