Perfect straight router guide for Makita brand
The specs listed are inadequate. It comes with 4 rods for 2 different router size/spacing. It is much larger than the picture seems to indicate:Rods are 17.75" long (45 cm), maximum edge to router center 11.5" (29 cm), with effective inside overlap of 3" (7.6 cm). (These dimensions are for the trim router XTR01 mounted in its plunge base)The rods are 8 mm (.315") with center to center distance of 9 cm (3.54"); 10 mm (.394") with center to center of 12.5 cm (4.92").The edge plate adjusts from 11 (28 cm) to 13.75" (35cm) wide & is made of non-marring plastic.There is a fine adjust knob marked clearly in .025 mm increments. And a locking knobs to lock settings in place.Truly a beautifully designed accessory.

It works well. It should be included in the router package… they want us to buy tools bit by bit.

Very pleased
I have a Mikita palm router with plunge base and Mikita when you call the customer assistance, does not advise you that this guide works very very well with this plunge base. Makita will just advise you to get cheaper less precision guide.

Does NOT fit the rf1101!
Regarless of what joseph v says, this doesn't fit the rf1101 router. Neither the fixed base or the plunge base. So will be returning this product. Sucks because it looks nice and sturdy. And had to wait a couple weeks to get it from spain or somewhere overseas. Maybe they'll keep this one in america so when somebody else wants it for the correct router, it'll only take a couple days for them to get it. Gave it 5 stars because it appears to be a quality product.

Great accessory.
This thing is great. Makita is very bad about letting people know what accessories go with what tools. I own 3 different makita routers.RF1101RP2301FCRT0701It fits on all three. I did see someone complain that the plastic pieces are not perfectly parallel and I can confirm this, however this has not been an issue since the router is a single point of contact. It’s odd that this is not officially sold in the United States. I hope this helps.Note: I also own the Bosch edge guide and although I would say the Bosch is built slightly better, it performs equally as well.

Fits this base well, could also fit others as well, 2 sets of rails .just had to have it
