Great blade, small footprint
This is the second Manbug Iâve purchased from Amazon. I bought one for my father, who wonât carry a normal pocket knife with a clip, but is often needing to go find the scissors, which always seem to be missing. Iâve had a Spydero Ladybug on my keychain for over ten years and itâs still functional, but very much in need of cleaning and sharpening. When I saw the Manbug I got for my dad, I was very impressed with the slightly larger blade and razor sharp edge. I also liked that his had the Spyderco logo and Sal Glesserâs signature on the blade. Not that anyone is going to notice except perhaps a knife enthusiast who is without their EDC and needs to borrow it. Anyway, I was so impressed that I decided to purchase another for myself. It came factory sealed, blade oiled and razor sharp. Luckily, I had some small keychain rings from my Ladybug that I was able to transfer to the Manbug in order to get it properly attached to my keychain. The knife doesnât come with any rings at all, so thatâs something you should consider purchasing if youâre going to be attaching to a keychain. I also bought a set of two small carabiners (they only come in two packs here on Amazon) to easily attach and remove the knife. This is something youâre probably going to want to do if you ever go inside government or âno weapons allowedâ buildings. Makes it a lot easier to pop it on and off your keychain. Overall, this is a great little knife and it is little, but it cuts just as well as itâs big brothers. If the price is a hang up, just realize this is a genuine Spyderco blade made from VG-10 steel. Itâs good quality and built to last. When the movers misplaced all of my other EDC knives, the Ladybug was all I had and I was glad to have it. So the bottom line is, if youâre looking for a quality knife that you can stick in your pocket or purse, this fits the bill nicely. My dad really likes his and Iâve been using Spydercos for decades. They donât typically disappoint. Iâd recommend this to anyone who wants a good knife for everyday tasks such as opening mail, boxes and any sort of packaging that requires something sharp to open. Even if you do have a good EDC already but youâre in a hurry and leave it behind, at least youâve got this handy on your keychain. Iâm completely satisfied and I highly recommend it.

My first Spyderco!
Iâve been a semi knife enthusiast for many years and have tried and collected Gerber (German and USA, and Japanese) Case, Buck, Victronox Wenger, Kershaw etc. But I have never tried a Spyderco, well until my tiny Gerber USA folder vanished.Iâm in awe of the blade sharpness out of the box, and though so tiny I could not get this knife to flex or bend or break the lock in anyway. And Iâm a strong individual by freak genetics, I love the pattern on the glass filled handle and even with my huge hands I can open it with one hand.Itâs the size of a gentlemanâs Swiss Army knife but with a much thicker and capably blade. Honestly Iâm blown away buy the fit and finish even though itâs not cheap itâs built world class and can definitely do heavier tasks a bigger knife can.Now I want to get a bigger Spyderco for heavier work and whittleing. Colour me impressed! If you want the best and toughest and most capable âtinyâ knife look no further. And the Japanese make one hell of a blade, I have Shen kitchen knives that are 12 years old and have never been sharpened and are as sharp as they were from day one.I also have the 25 year old Japanese âsilver knightâ pictured that you could still shave with. My all time leader though is my serrated a Wenger 8 inch kitchen utility knife that is 30 years old and is used everyday and is still sharp!Let me say also that the person who said the handle flexes and looks like a 1.99 handle- well you got a fake Iâm sorry. What impresses me about this knife is how tough this little buggger is, and I canât move or bend the handle one micron under my considerable strength. It seems even stronger than bone or steel, definitely a high grade handle material in harmony with the other excellent materials.Probably to late now, but if you can flex that handle a micron itâs not genuine.
