Better than Dunkin or Starbucks!
These are by far the best coffee beans I have purchased. They are a very rich flavor and they are better Dunkin or Starbucks. Highly recommend.

Complex, lightly fruity, and earthy... Deeelish!
This is a great coffee! The roast level is spot on for my taste, and shows complexity and great flavor. Expect earthy notes, mocha notes, medium body and balance. Try proper French press technique for this.

The beans arrived in perfect condition! Couldn't be happier with the new packaging
Just got the Chestbrew Moon Bear coffee beans today! I was so excited to see the Amazon box waiting for me. The beans arrived in perfect condition!Couldn't be happier with the new packaging! To be honest, I was thinking of purchasing this a few months ago but the reviews of how the beans exploded in the box made me hesitate until now. I love the look of the bag and especially the brewing instructions on how to brew for hot, cold, and iced. From the moment I opened the bag, I could tell the beans were perfect. From the wonderfully sweet fragrant aroma of the coffee beans to the rich chocolate color of the glistening beans. Even though it was already so late in the day to have coffee, I just couldn't wait to try it. I quickly grounded some beans, boiled some water, and took out the cafe phin (bought especially for these beans). And as expected, it was delicious. Sweet, smooth, and surprisingly not acidic at all. I can't wait to make a cold brew with these beans.Thank you Chestbrew for providing quality beans. And for giving back to the people who take such care in making the beans so great! Your product, your vision, and your commitment to the people behind the product will be something I will support! If you like coffee, you HAVE to try these beans. If you don't like coffee, these beans will change your mind.

Not a bad coffee, lack of "fruitiness"
Brewed this in a Aeropress, ground Turkish mokka (extremely fine), allowed to steep 4 minutes, 30 second press.. Not very flavorful, not overly strong. I could not pick up any fruit notes, chocolate, or smokiness (could be my taste buds). It was, however, pretty smooth, without a lot of fullness. The mouth feel was fairly nice, as well.

I Was Very Surprised By This Coffee
I'm a fan of the YouTube Channel ADVChina and the Laowhy86, and Serpentza channels, by the same two guys. They began Vloging from the PRC and now make videos of travels in other countries including Vietnam. While watching one of their videos they answered a the question of "What is the best coffee you've ever had?" with, "Moon Bear Coffee in Vietnam, you can buy it on Amazon". So I did, not having the greatest of expectations because I've tried coffee from all over the world and especially South/Central American varieties. I was pleasantly surprised that this coffee is indeed very good. I'm not sure I'm ready to say it's the best I've ever had but it is close to it.I'm not a fan of the burnt bean taste so I wasn't really after the "Strong Dark Roast" flavor promised on the bag. I did not find it that way at all, if anything, it looked a bit weak when I brewed it and tasted smooth, as the other descriptor on the label indicated. This may in part be because I ground it coarse this first time. I may try to grind it a bit more next time.

Warning .... Get ready to fall in love with this coffee ....
I really don't do a lot of reviews but I've got to do this one. About 4 months ago I bought a Breville Oracle machine. ($$$) Right away I had buyers remorse .... even after I had negotiated a big discount with Bed, Bath and Beyond. I used to do Keurig in the am. Now with the new machine it meant going to whole beans as it has an on board grinder. So I have tried many brands, Illy, etc and I really wanted Viet Coffee. I had traveled to Vietnam several years ago and their coffee is the bomb. So I have bought several whole bean coffees on Amazon that are from Vietnam in hopes of finding the one that I found in that country. It had to be sweet, dark and rich. When you drank it either as a shot of espresso or mixed in with flavors and steamed milk it left you craving another. So I have found it with this coffee .... it KICKS ASS. Seriously, on it's label it describes itself as taking coffee drinking to another level and I can honestly tell you that if you like legit Viet coffee buy a bag of this and get ready to get on your knees and pray to your espresso machine. Don't pay attention to people looking at you ... feel sorry for them that they aren't drinking this coffee.

It was Okay
I absolutely love dark roast coffee. I find it difficult to find dark roast coffee readily available in my area so I decided to give this coffee a try based on the description and reviews.First off, I mostly drink my coffee hot. I like to brew my coffee in a French press. To me, this is one of the best ways to really taste the flavors in a coffee. I added about a half a scoop more coffee than it recommends for a French press because I like my coffee strong. However, I was not impressed with the end result. I will say this coffee is very smooth tasting, but there just isn't a whole lot of flavor there. To me, it was just a smooth, bland coffee. If that's your thing, then this coffee is for you. However, I like mine flavorful and robust and I just didn't see that out of this coffee.I will finish the remainder of this coffee but I don't see myself buying it again.
