AWESOME LENS
I purchased this for my canon Eos 2000d. Fits great. Excellent build quality. Image quality is also excellent. It’s heavy which is literally the only downside BUT I am still able to hold it free hand for photos and also works well on a tripod!! Purchased to take pics of the moon originally but it has worked well for other photos like for birds. Thanks!!

Better than expected.
I opened the box 10 min ago. The lens easily attached to my Canon Rebel using the provided T mount adapter. The hex tool also porvided was not needed. Its a manual focus lens so I had some concerns but I was able to focus the lens faster than my standard ef-s lenses set on auto focus. Picture quality is yet to be determined but the image on the cameras viewing screen is impressive. In my novice opinion this lens is worth twice the price.Another plus is I receved the lens in perfect condition 2 days early. When purchasing in the future I will be checking this companys lenses first.

Tripod Mounting Ring Broke
The lens itself was impressive. I wasn't expecting much as it was pretty inexpensive, but my initial pictures were pretty good! Yes, using a tripod is needed unless you're very lucky. Yes, manual focus is a hassle, but that's the way it was in the old days so, suck it up - LOL! It still was well worth the cost - until the metal on the tripod mounting ring broke after only trying it out about 4 times in 6 months. Now, I cannot reliably mount the lens at all and I'm not going to risk my camera, hoping it will just stay. Because of the cheap steel they used, it's pretty much useless now.

You get what you pay for.
I got this for extremely cheap on Black Friday so I am just going to lead with yes you get what you pay for. The first thing is while it does "technically" fit on a Nikon D750 it does not lock into place so when you are focusing to either extreme you have to hold the lens in place which needless to say can be a bother. This is manual focus only so be ready for that and while it says it can do auto aperture my camera only showed F0. That being said my first experiments with the lens were not bad. Color over all was natural and focus was clear using it either as a semi-macro or long-range telephoto. The main downside issue is there was a very minor bit of vignetting in the corners of photos when I had it out to the full 800 mm. In summary if you can afford either of the actual Nikon lenses, get them. If you must have a long-range telephoto lens and you can get it at the Black Friday price, it will do, not great but it will do.

This lens has a purpose
Simple, honest review as to why I gave it five stars.Likes: price is unbeatable, seems to be well made out of metal not plastic, light weight, narrow design, excellent sharpness at 800mm for the priceDislikes: chromatic aberration is sinful, the screw on camera mount doesn’t stay tight, the tripod mount seems a little flimsy, not weather sealed, no aperture ring, no filter threads and the vinyl pouch is an abomination. This lens is excellent if you want to use it to survey an area from a long distance away, without spending the king’s fortune on a high dollar lens that weighs 16 lbs and is 5 ft long and 1 ft wide. A drone might work also but it’s not going to cost $66. That’s why I gave it five stars :) You might be disappointed if you’re a high priced photographer like myself, who sells his images for a living. This is not that kind of lens. Although I did get some sharp ones out of it.

Sharpness and overall picture quality could be better
I was trying to use this lens for wildlife photography with my Nikon D3400 DSLR.I am comfortable with operating in manual mode, which is the only option for this product. So, I am sure I used it correctly. But the results seem unsatisfactory to me.- Pros: low cost, was delivered on time, packaging was OK, the make of the product feels solid.- Cons: Unfortunately, the quality of the pictures this lens produces is below average.Sharpness is lower than you would expect and there is a blue "halo" around the edges of objects in the picture.Color is also dull (I have tried shooting both in RAW and JPEG modes) and you would need to do a lot of post-processing to enhance color, brightness, contrast etc.The product arrived poorly assembled - the microscopic hex screws that hold theT-mount adapter were not tightened, so I had to find the right key to tighten them before I was able to use the lens.If you are looking to get close-up pictures of birds and other wildlife objects, you will get better results by cropping your images made with a native Nikon's 300mm lens rather than using this 800mm.I am returning this lens.
