Good product!
I purchased this to fix a couple of sable art brushes that had dried gel paint in them that I couldn’t get off. A good soak in this lathered up soap on the bristles, cleaned them very nicely. Great product that isn’t a chemical with the chemical smell. The scent is a like a light lemony ivory soap smell. It’s very pleasant. This will last for a long time, as you don’t need much to clean each brush. Just run the brush under warm water then swirl it onto the soap, lather it up, work thru til the bristles are clean. Rinse, shape the bristles and air dry.

Outstanding product, but don't use it for your cosmetics brushes.
I bought this to use for cleaning my artists' brushes, and it is superb for that use. It's quick and easy to use, and it leaves my brushes smooth, silky, and glossy. I consider it as much a brush conditioner as a brush cleaner. I am going to get out my old ratty brushes that I was ready to throw out and use it on them, and I expect it to work a miracle on them.I have some cosmetics brushes that are in bad shape too, and I noticed some reviewers are using this product on their cosmetics brushes. I had reservations about doing that because I'm very careful about what I allow to come into contact with my skin. Any toxic ingredient will be absorbed right into your bloodstream. Just because a product is gentle does not mean it is nontoxic. I looked everywhere on the product and on the web trying to find a list of ingredients, and they were nowhere to be found. So I contacted the General Pencil Company that makes this product and asked them for a full list of their ingredients and whether it can be used for cosmetic brushes. This is the reply I received: "We have heard that many people use this product for their make-up brushes however since this is not tested for cosmetic use we are unable to recommend for cleaning your cosmetic/eye liner brushes. The ingredients in our brush Cleaner is proprietary information. The Masters® Brush Cleaner is tested and certified for safety by the Art & Creative Materials Institute"The fact that the ingredients are "proprietary information" and they will not release them to the public AND the fact that they do not recommend using their product for cosmetic brushes is all I need to convince me never to use it for that. The company knows what is in their product--we don't--and they say not to use it on cosmetics brushes. Don't take a chance with your health. Use a product designed for cleaning cosmetic brushes. It may not leave them as gorgeous as this product does, but it will be formulated for that purpose and required to comply with government regulations for that use.For your artists' brushes, though, get this product. It is hands down the best art brush cleaner I've ever used or even heard of. It's probably the best in the world. Don't hesitate to use it on your brushes. Just not on your skin or cosmetics brushes. I recommend getting this smaller size to keep in your artist's bag to carry around with you and a larger size to keep at home for all your household brushes, like the ones you use to paint rooms with.

Saves your brushes!
I’ve used this brush cleaner for decades, and will never change. Brushes are expensive and this great product keeps them in great shape for a very long time with minimal effort.

Works Good And Lasts Forever If You Don't Mess It Up Prematurely
It'll clean your brush and it'll last a long time (or ummm, you might lose it or ruin it and have to buy more). Take care of it and don't lose it. And don't drop crap in it. That's pretty much my advice. It's good stuff if you don't mess it up like SOME folks do. :-)

The only brush cleaner I'll use.
After initially trying many solutions, I've only used this cleaner for over a decade. It cleans amazingly well, is so easy to use and lasts FOREVER. I can't recommend this product enough. It's so, so good at what it does. Since you have to lather the brush bristles a bit, I recommend getting this and some sort of brush shaper to help keep your brush shape intact.
