GaltToys, Marble Run Reactions, Chain Reaction Toy, Ages 4 Years Plus

The lad loves these marble run sets, very sturdy and easy for a 5 year old to put together. Good fun all round, getting others to build on collection from an auction site....

I bought this last Christmas for my Grandson 4yrs (autistic) , but it is just to fiddly to set up and play with for him. But it is well made and i have put it away for when he is older. I ended up getting him The Mega Ball Run from Chad Valley. Just what he needed.

Bought this as we love playing with the marble racer but it's just not as good - really hard to get the marble to do what it's supposed to, especially on the bouncy rubber element - it's near on impossible to get the angle right! Pretty sure they faked it on the tutorial video as we just couldn't get it to work. The other elements are fun but it's a bit tricky for a child to set up without adult help

My 3 year old granddaughter loved this! As did the rest of the family with everyone getting involved. I like that you can add other Galt marble runs to it too, which I’m sure we’ll be doing.

Sturdy and fits with other sets . Grandsons love building it up .

Bought for my 5 year grandson who absolutely loves it. He spends ages making up different marble runs and proudly shows it off to me. He finds it easy to put the pieces together and take them apart. There are various runs that can be bought that all fit together. I will buy him some more for his birthday so he can expand the runs. It’s good as he uses his imagination and co-ordernation as he is playing. Thoroughly recommended

Bought this for my 5yr old son who absolutely loves his marble runs. We have a several of the Galt editions and these are by far the best of the bunch. Made from a solid durable plastic and all pieces fit together without any issues. They are also compatible with all other Galt marble runs and most other brands (bought a few that are not and it's very disappointing as my son likes to combine the sets to make a massive marble run).This set is a little different from the usual sets though in that the marble does not stay on the run continuously. Various new pieces lead to jumping, knocking, bouncing, swinging sections in order for the marble to complete the run. Whilst this was a little tricky for my son to get at first, it does add a very different dimension to the activity and he quickly worked out how to get the desired results.There are some maps/guides in the box to help with positioning of the new pieces and showing how they can be used. Wish I had worked this out sooner as it was not particularly clear what they were at first! It's not overly difficult to work this out without the maps though, just a little frustrating!All in all this is a different but interesting addition to the marble run family. Combining classic marble run pieces with some fun elements that make your child think a bit more and encourages trial and error! Would recommend if you have the original sets, definitely. As a first time purchase, maybe go for a basic set first?
