No the lid does not twist on. You push it down onto the container. It fits tightly.

Does this have a screw on lid?

Press in lid will leak when cooler is full. And if it falls over, the lid will immediately pop off draining all the contents. I've done this with 3 gallons of Gatorade for my son's baseball game!

Can this be used for hot coffee?

Yes I think you could. It is a hard thick plastic inside. It would retain the coffee smell though.

could this be used to dispense homemade salad dressing?? I make big batches for gifts.
