My wife went into labor a year and a half ago and that labor went very quickly....so quickly that she ended up giving birth on our bed in the presence of EMTs. We then went to the hospital where I stayed overnight with my wife and new baby girl. The next day, once things had clamed down, I went home to clean up before they came home. For those who have witnessed or gone through child birth, you know what a mess I arrived to. For those who haven't, suffice to say there are many different types of fluids and a lot of them. Let's just say I was fully expecting to be purchasing a new mattress. To my amazement, once I'd bagged our sheets and this mattress pad, our mattress was perfectly fine. I bought another one immediately and will continue to use this brand as long as it exists. I challenge anyone to put it through a more rigorous test and I'm positive it can stand up to some sweat or your child's pee in the middle of the night. I could have posted a pic but it's better for everyone if I don't.

This is my second purchase, to give as a gift to someone I know who has an adult, special needs child who has occasional nighttime accidents. Why do I feel so confident to give it as a gift? Because, recently, I was eating in bed and spilled a very dark sauce on my sheets. Judging by how soaked-through my sheets were with the sauce, I assumed the sauce had to have soaked through the mattress pad and onto the mattress. NOT AT ALL. The rest of the sauce was all absorbed in the top layer of the mattress pad! In other words, NONE of the sauce got onto my mattress! I washed the mattress pad just with regular detergent - I didn't pre-treat nor use any stain removers - and the stain came out completely in the wash! My only complaint is that it is a little crinkly (but not too crinkly) and it's not as breathable as other mattress pads. So, if you're a VERY hot sleeper, you might not want this.

We bought this mattress protector after finally spending money on a nice, new, memory foam mattress. Our daughter still sleeps with us so we didn’t want a bathroom accident ruining our new bed. While it hasn’t gone through that test yet, it has already saved our mattress from other stains.It is comfortable to sleep on. You don’t even know that it is under the sheet. It is easier to apply than the fitted sheet itself. We have had no issues with it coming up on the corners. It makes no noise when you move around.It was easy to clean in the washer and dryer. I would definitely recommend drying the item by itself. It was quite wet when we pulled it out of the washer after washing with other items. When I tried to dry it with the same items it was still quite wet. Once I put it in by itself, it dried quickly. It might depend on the stain, but it also came completely clean.I have never used a mattress protector in the past but I would buy this again.

Just installed it on my queen size mattress this morning, my old mattress fed was 30 years old and the elastic around the edges was starting to rip. Initial impression is it’s gonna be a decent mattress cover. I don’t know if I’ll ever use the waterproof thing, but you never know when a bad urge from a virus is gonna strike in the middle of the night. The edge material is a real silky stuff. That’s hard to get a hold of, but once you get it over the end of the mattress, it seems like a great fit. plenty of elastic so I don’t think it’s gonna move around. If it lasts just half as long as my last one, I’ll be more than pleased.

Fits my bed perfectly, and is protecting my mattress from an unhappy cat. That’s a lot to ask of a mattress protector, but this is working great! My cat is going through an unhappy time, and is telling me the only way she really knows how. This mattress protector is helping us weather this… difficult time. I’ve been able to trust it. As I'm washing this item for the umpteenth time, I'm truly amazed at how well it's held up over the 7 years we've had it. My husband sweats a good bit at night and this cover protects our mattress pad and latex mattress. It washes up well, no tears or rips; strong Terry top fabric. Hopefully...its still made with the same high quality!

I bought this back in 2015 and I had to buy a new one a couple years ago. It protected my mattress well, was easy to clean and stayed white. I literally never had any issues with it. Towards the end the waterproof layer started to peel off not unlike pleather products with the plastic skin coming off in patches when they get old. It's hard to get anything to last forever these days so I would say this very much worth the money.
