So far so good ****update at the bottom
I received the plant in good health. Unfortunately, I assumed the instructions was the receipt and potted the plant immediately. After realizing my mystake, I reached out to the seller and they promptly replied with how to proceed from there. I think the plant a little overpriced, but considering there is good and prompt support, the price is a little more reasonable.Hopefully the little sucker continues to grow and makes bananas next year. I won't know until then if these are the rare bananas advertised, but they're definitely not dwarf cavendish plants. I have both now and they're distinctly different.****Update: the plant has been inside under 2 plant lights for the majority of time since it arrived in the mail. It's been 5 months and winter finally over. It's going in the ground soon. It looks really happy. It's in a 5 gallon container. The pic I posted is from 5 months after it arrived.*******11/11/2022 updated update. The plant is over 15 feet tall and has several pups over 10 feet tall. I don’t expect fruit this year as it’s starting to get cool in zone 9, but it still may 🤞

Almost made it thru winter
Well I wish I took a picture before I killed the plant. It was probably 14 to 16 inches tall, I live in northeast Arkansas. I initially put it in a pot about 12 inches around with rice husk, coconut fiber, and potting soil. It was healthy and doing great, if it didn’t rain within 7 days I would water it. Then even though winters are not terrible, it does get below 0 a few times a year. I was putting outside and inside during cold snaps. It was warmer for several days like 34 at night, then it dropped to maybe 10 degrees Fahrenheit, oops. That was it never recovered, I think maybe if I had wrapped that night there might have been some hope. I had left a few times outside in the upper 20’s and it survived that, anyways I’m ordering another to try it again.

Arrived Healthy
Our banana tree arrived healthy. Follow the directions and then plant it. It has grown to 6 ft tall already and it hasn’t been quite a year yet. Looking forward to seeing the bananas grow when it’s mature! Great buy!

challenging to keep alive
This was purchased as a gift for my brother who has worked in several plant nurseries for the last decade. At first, he was very excited about the gift. He has 2 other banana trees and was excited for the chance at another. After the first day, the all of the leaves fell off. The plant still had a strong stem and good color it maintained this for another week or so then slowly died. The plant was kept indoors since it was purchased in winter. My brother did his best to save it, but it was a lost cause. I would not recommend this to anyone living outside of where they are grown. It seemed to acclimate poorly.

Is my ice cream swirled with chocolate...?
So, my banana plant is doing well and healthy. It has tripled its size in just 3 mths. My only concern is that I may have been given the wrong plant. I ordered the ice cream banana plant and waiting for a response from the nursery.Update- I did get a fast response from the nursery and it is indeed an ice cream banana plant. Some plants are all green or have maroon coloring. It will be interesting to see what the bananas will look like... I am still very happy with my plant and it is doing amazingly well.

Omg it’s making bananas!
The media could not be loaded. Purchased in spring of 2018Review on 7/6/2022I have ordered a lot of banana plants from various sellers but this one is the strongest one and the first one to make bananas!!!! It’s so exciting. I live in grow zone 9a so the plant does stop growing for the winter but it outlasts the cold and wind with ease. We maybe have a total of the frosty nights not much but enough to have taken out other banana plants. But this one grows fast and is very durable. It is currently flowering so I can’t tell you about the taste yet but I am sure it is going to taste amazing. I will try to update this as things progress.

Small & underdeveloped roots
Should have sent something with stronger roots. Very small plants. Got a Pisang Raja also, so big that it wouldn't fit inside the standard mail box

Well packaged
I have never ordered plants on line so I worried they would be a mess but they arrived in good shape and are thriving
