For New Parents Recommended!
After having this for a week or so i will give my feedback in this product. Some of the reviews it seems some people aren’t very technical as i seen some complaints which i will talk about, but first the Camera not being very good, by default the camera is on 480p and you can adjust this to 1080p (if you have good enough WiFi, if not leave it on 720p). I also seen people saying they get far to many notifications, this also has a setting on how sensitive you want your camera to be to where if the baby moves the slightest it will notify you immediately, you can adjust this to your preference. Overall the camera is high quality, it even gives you room temperature and how much humidity is in the room. Moving onto the foot monitor it self, i find this a very useful monitor for when your sleeping and gives new parents that extra comfort and ease to when sleeping. It does what it says on the description monitors their sleeping patterns, heart rate, oxygen level etc which has left my wife feeling comfortable to sleep without worrying and monitoring the baby constantly. The only complaint i have is there is two applications that on Apple Store called Owlet Care and Owlet Dream, please use the Owlet Dream application as the Owlet Care doesn’t recognise this type of model and i believe this were most people complains have come from as it not the right app and i did download Owlet Dream at first so i completely understand the frustration but apart from that the product has been brilliant for me and my wife and gives use that extra comfort and reassurance to let our little guy sleep at night.

Didn’t work
The peace of mind this product offered was appealing to us for our baby who suffers with reflux and would often choke on vomit. We used the snuza hero with our first child and to be honest the alarm was not loud enough when you had a vest, baby grow and a thick sleeping bag and found that it had too many false alarms that were just frustrating as we were getting less sleep with this. So we decided to look for something a bit more technical given our second child had this increased risk.Well, firstly, we knew the Owlet was not compatible with 5GHz WiFi. Our WiFi was already split into 2.4 and 5GHz so we didn’t think this would be a problem. For some reason it wasn’t recognising our 2.4GHz. I connected other devices to it so not sure why this was. After days of trying to sort this out and getting a more than tech-savvy family member have a look at the WiFi settings, we finally got it to connect to our WiFi. Great! We moved onto the next stage of the set up process…. for the base station to not register with the sock!We contacted the customer support chat numerous times who were less than useful. They gave some steps to follow which we already had done. The steps sometimes took more than a few minutes to complete and unfortunately the chat automatically ends after a few minutes. So I had to repeat myself countless times to go through the customer support chat to speak to a human to help resolve this problem. In the end, I ran out of patience. The product for some reason was very difficult to set up. As we didn’t get to that stage, I cannot comment on the functionality of it.We decided to try the sense-u shoe sock but also had problems with the alerts on that one. Finally, we are more than happy with the babysense breathing monitor. Super easy set up. A fraction of the price. No WiFi/connection to contend with which also gives peace of mind for if there were any technical failures. The alarm is loud enough for me to feel confident to sleep peacefully. To conclude, the set up for this product was harder than it needed to be. For the price tag they really should invest in making this available for 5GHz WiFi to make the set up much simpler. Owlet should also review their customer support chat as this was increasingly frustrating having to keep starting a chat over and over again when the chat timed out after a few minutes. I can’t recommend this to anyone unfortunately. I have returned it.

Absolute peace of mind. Game changer.
I resisted buying one of these on the lead up to our son being born. Overpriced, unnecessary, will cause more anxiety than it solves. After we both laid awake the first night, listening for signs he was alright, getting up to check when it had been 5 minutes without a snuffle or a “eh”, I changed my mind. This thing is incredible. You’ve got to make sure it’s fitted well, or it might get a weak reading and give you a small heart attack (just once, and it was my fault!), but that slow pulsing green light on the base station as you blink your sleepy eyes is the most comforting sight you’ll ever see. You can’t put a price on peace of mind, though admittedly, Owlet have given it a good go! Worth. Every. Penny.

Great
Great, has gone down in price since purchase which is a shame. Only problem we've had is sometimes the foot monitor doesn't sync and the camera picks up the smallest noise but not a cry. Had a problem connecting to father in laws WiFi on one visit

Best baby purchase
I am a first time mum and prone to anxiety anyway so as soon as I heard about the owlet sock I bought it hoping that it would give me some peace of mind. We started using it as soon as we were home from the hospital and both myself and my partner have been able to sleep well knowing our baby is being monitored and it will alert us if there is an issue. The setup was straightforward and we haven’t had any connectivity issues like some other reviews have mentioned. We have had a couple of alarms for the sock not getting a reading, usually when our baby is crying lots and kicking whilst we prepare a bottle for her, but we just check on her and reposition the sock and all is ok. I’d rather a false alarm and her be monitored than nothing at all and risk missing an issue. The quality of the sock is really good and the battery life is also great, we get 15/16 hours before it needs charging and it charges relatively fast too. I bought the bundle with the camera as it was on offer but we haven’t used the camera yet as baby is still in our bedroom at the moment so can’t comment on how good that is.This is by far the best baby purchase that I’ve made and I absolutely recommend it to anyone who is anxious and needing peace of mind to be able to sleep. I couldn’t live without it!
