What is horse oil? How is it gathered?

Horse oil is collected from horse fat as a byproduct of the meat industry.... not sure why they say it doesn't harm them since they're slaughtered for it

Be careful buying. I got this once from Amazon and got the real deal... when I ordered again, I got a fake :(Can't believe they are actually selling counterfeit face cream but the smell, texture and feel of my skin was totally different with the fake. Disappointing.Following review for the REAL authentic Horse Oil Cream.Packaging: Super luxe with a small spoon to scoop up the cream so you can use every little bit without dipping your finger into the jar and contaminating the rest of the cream.Feel: You skin feels like butter, so soft and silky. I found my make up goes on better now that I'm using this cream and just a dab is more than enough. I have combination skin and in the winter my cheeks get so dry and tight it feels practically chapped while my nose is a greasy mess. This cream really helped even out and balance out the dry cheeks without making me feel super oily on the nose. The smell is amazing as well, smells like grapefruit or other slight citrus note.I just wish there was a sunscreen built in but other than that... it's a great cream.There is NO way to tell if you're getting the REAL one vs the fake one... it's sad but that's just how it is. If they say it's the "New formula" RUN. That's just code for "this is why it doesn't smell like the real stuff"
