I’ve tried several hair colors over the years, but L'Oreal Paris Excellence Creme in Medium Brown is the first one that truly worked the way I wanted. It covers my grays beautifully and blends them into a lighter shade of my natural hair, almost like subtle highlights — which I love! The result looks natural, not flat or overly dark like some other brands. I usually reapply about every 6 weeks to keep it fresh, even though the coverage lasts up to 8 weeks. The formula is gentle, and my hair feels soft and healthy after coloring. Definitely my go-to from now on.

My natural hair color is dark brown with green undertones, with some grays in my bangs and temples. When I use this box dye I get a beautiful ginger auburn color rather than the blonde ginger color on the box, but that's to be expected given my starting color. The copper in this hair dye neutralizes the green undertones in my hair and the effect is very flattering. However, it didn't cover all the grays around my temples. I did leave the product on for 45 minutes and fully saturated my hair with the dye, so my application wasn't the problem. That being said, the color is beautiful. I get lots of compliments on my ginger hair.

This particular dye is wonderful. So easy to use for touching up roots or for a complete dye job. I love using the kit as shown, as it comes with an actual comb top that can be used instead of the single nozzle which is mainly for a complete dye job. Also, because of the comb applicator that can be used for dying roots, it goes on quickly! This brand does not have a harsh smell to it, and it leaves your hair soft and beautiful. Its a great item!

Great dye, it covers gray hair really well. The color is exactly like in the picture, but at first it looks darker on the hair and then after a couple of washes it becomes lighter.

My wife and I have used L'Oreal Paris Excellence Creme Permanent Hair Colors for several years, finding the only thing we don’t like is when they discontinue a color we love and use often - as has happened far too many times. Not sure why, since the colors are always hard to find at our stores since people buy and use them. One would think these companies get people LIKE the product and want more...Anyway, we have used L'Oreal Paris colors for a number of years and this L'Oreal Paris Excellence Creme Permanent Hair Color version is my wife’s current choice - she can no longer find colors she likes better. In fact, to this point, we found a color of another brand (at a stylist’s store) for my hair that they have not gotten rid of - in other words, my color continues to be available, but from another brand. It is a “professional” brand and we would both say the process is as easy and the outcome as good or better than any of the L'Oreal Paris Colors we have used. But, she can’t find a color in their offerings yet she likes, so she continues with the L'Oreal Paris ColorsAs far as ease of use, L'Oreal Paris Excellence Creme Permanent Hair Color is easy and I, as the one putting it on for her, can do it well, giving her a great overall look. She’s always been very happy with the outcomes of the L'Oreal Paris brand. I loved it too until I lost my color - truthfully I love my new color better. Even we guys like to look good.In the end, this L'Oreal Paris Excellence Creme Permanent Hair Color is a good one, she’ll stick with it until she can find a color she likes better, but the brand itself has always done well for us and she continues to go back - when we can get those colors she likes - because it is reliable and easy. That said, if they continue to limit the reddish-browns she loves, she will switch to another professional kind as she uses for me. We prefer doing it ourselves and L'Oreal Paris as been as easy and good quality for a decent price as the professional one.

I love this hair color. When I'm needing to save some money I'll use this instead of going to a salon and you really can't tell the difference. It does not leave your hair an orange weird color - it gives it a nice shine and even gives you the option to add highlights if you choose. The instructions are super easy to follow and everything that you need to color your hair comes in the box - even gloves! It also comes with a conditioner that lasts me a couple washes after I've colored my hair and it smells great!
