Toss in the truck and go
I got this little gem a little while ago and have gone for a couple of spins. It's a fun little kayak you can throw in the back of a truck. You won't need a rack as it's 7.5 ft long. The seat is adjustable and comfortable. The legs...not so much. You'd probably hate it if you were 6 feet tall. There are no foot pegs, like in a whitewater kayak, so your feet slide around. I'll be installing footholds. There are no hip pads, of course, and the opening is too large for a "universal" spray skirt. Since the bow is so short, with any bit of chop and a decent wind, you'll start to fill up the boat. The float bags are just foam blocks that you cannot remove. I imagine that they'll get rather funky in a year, as it's hard to drain the kayak. I just use a towel to sop up the water.Overall it is sturdy, if not a little silly, but hey, it's a 7.5 foot, 25 pound kayak you use in the summer on glass and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. If you want to bomb down a class 5 rapid, why are you hanging out in the kid's pool? Also, it's not really meant for fishing. There's what can lightly be called a drink holder, which is a 3/4 impression in molded plastic of a beer can in front of the seat. Your beer will fall out of it. And that would be sad. Very sad. And you'd smell like warm beer the whole trip.

Bye Bye to Kayak Rentals
At 76 and 5'3" with major lower back problems, this kayak works well on smooth water paddling. Although there are a few more cons over pros, some are minor ie cup holder.. I could not paddle without this kayak so I am grateful they make it. Will certainly purchase another one when this one wears out. 5 stars would acknowledge places to hook things onto, foot pedals, and a paddle holder.Pros1, 8 feet long and fits completely into a Honda Civic Hatchback (diagonally with front passenger seat down and headrest off) Major important to me2. Light weight (31 pounds approx)3. Has bungees on top of stern4. Has good handles on front and back3. Makes launching easy bc of its weight4. Pelican brand5. Kayak rental fee is $18/hour and $27/2 hours - quickly closing in on break even point. Cheaper to own.Cons:1. No foot pedals (My legs are positioned in a diamond so knees can rest on each side of kayak)2. No paddle holder - I crunch legs towards abdomen and it holds the paddle perfectly3. Padded backrest but not seat part (folded old yoga mats work great)4. Crummy cup holder on bow and looks like a half finished one In the cockpit seat5. the kayak is not super stable with wakes so be careful6. Might not be a good kayak for much taller paddlers7. No cockpit handles or places to attach stuff and this is a challenge when trying to strap the kayak onto a 2 wheel cart. I'm not giving up on this one and will get it eventually.
