Good Fit, just like CUK2882
I discovered this filter also fits my 2003 VW Passat even though it says “does not fit” on Amazon fitment. This filter is only about 1 mm thicker than the standard CUK2882, but is much cheaper. Same quality and is still made in Germany.

Mann Filter
Bought this for use in a 99 VW New Beetle. Works great. Not sure what the other reviewer is talking about, as far as I'm aware they didn't change the filter through those years, but it fits fine in a 99. It was a bit tight and needed to be twisted in, in just the right way, but it fits great.There was a lingering odor of musty dog from the previous owner, after a good cleaning you could only detect it when turning the HVAC system on, so I replaced the old filter with this one. The smell was gone instantly. I also noticed that outside odors (driving past farms/behind diesel trucks/etc) do not penetrate the cabin at all. The charcoal element in the filter keeps all the smells out.I'm very pleased with this filter and Amazon has it at a great price making it actually cheaper than the standard (non charcoal infused) filter at my local auto store. Definitely worth it.

good!
The cabin filter is for my 1998 VW Jetta. I used a MK4(1999.5 to 2005) filter bracket and installed it to my vehicle. The filter is a stock replacement for it. No issues and fits perfectly

Awesome qualtiy, awesome price. Fits my 2006 VW Beetle perfectly
This filter fit like a dealer purchased part in my 2006 VW Beetle. It really isn't too bad to change as long as you watch a few videos on YouTube. Please change your filter if you haven't already, chances are it has never been changed (at least on the 2 used Beetles I have purchased) and it is clogged with dirt, leaves, and bugs. You will breathe better!

Does not fit 2006+ VW Beetle, as there is no filter housing at all for the year span.
I have used this type of cabin filter before and MANN brand is always the go-to brand for European applications.However, I will never know if this exact filter will live up to my expectations as it did not fit my application per Amazon's fitment guide. Apparently 2006 and up VW New Beetles do not have any cabin filter provision at all. There is a plastic mesh screen that replaced the filter housing present in earlier Beetles. One can retrofit a older filter housing in to the later models, and instructions to do so are easily found in the web. The cost was approximately $60 for the retrofit. I chose not to upgrade, as cleaning the debris in the filter cavity cleared up any odors I was having.The filter features quality fabric construction that incorporates carbon material to soak up any odors. It also came with a set of pictorial instruction in case some help was needed.

Superior quality OEM fit.
Pulling the filter out of the box I could tell it was quality. It had some heft to it. It fit snug into the filter holder and the notches aligned perfectly.

Great filter!
The activated Charcoal is well worth it. I am allergic to freshly cut grass and actually hold my breath when I go by someone mowing on the side of the road. This alleviates a lot of that smell and cuts down on other smells too. {of course nothing can touch that Mushed Skunk smell}

May Not Be Needed
Installation is fairly complex, suggest you review YouTube videos. Also, if you have a convertible/cabriolet as I do, the vehicle comes from the factory without a cabin filter, a factor not disclosed in advertising or instructions. There is actually a YouTube video that is quite humorous when the technician has fully disassembled the dash only to discover the convertible he is working on does not have a cabin filter.
