Very spicy
This NIHARI seasoning packet taste really good. BUT.... it is so spicy I couldn't eat as much as I wanted to. It didn't say anything about being spicy anywhere on the package therefore I didn't think it would be spicy at all but WOW...SO VERY SPICY...HOT HOT HOT!

Nihari tasted exactly as I expected it
Nihari is difficult to make and hard to find in Indian restaurants. So I decided to make it myself using a pressure cooker. This required some improvising, but the results were still excellent. I'm totally satisfied with how the nihari tasted.

Spicy as hell but can’t get enough.
Our family’s favorite meal to kick a cold. So spicy. Topped with Lime, cilantro, and sour cream or yogurt is a must.

Too much sauce for amount of meat
This has good flavor and is sufficiently spicy. It’s the kind of heat that lingers, which I really like. What I didn’t like was the TON of sauce it made. The ratio of meat to sauce was off, in my opinion. I don’t usually complain about too much sauce, but you add 18 cups (!) of water to 2.5 pounds of meat and then cook it covered, so not a lot of evaporation/cooking down of the liquid. The marrow bones certainly add to the flavor, but once you remove them you still have only 2.5 pounds of meat (which when cooked is even less). If you are expecting soup with a small amount of meat, you will be satisfied. But I wanted a meat with sauce main course. There are 3 of us in our household, so I froze the leftovers with a lot of the sauce but (sadly) still had to dispose of about 20-25% of it. If I make it again, I’m going to either at least double the meat or use only 1/2 packet and 8-9 cups of water.
