Fabulous
This is A fantastic whiskey. It has all the qualities of a traditional American Rye. It is dry fruity and rich and can taste the woody notes. It is perfect with a lump of ice and is beautiful and smooth to drink Very cost friendly too!

Decent entry-level rye whiskey.
His product often comes up on offer as a more everyday kind of rye whiskey. It’s lacks some of the sourness that I enjoy the most from rye whiskeys, though it is definitely a more developed flavour than regular bourbon. This is a good rye whiskey to perhaps try for the first time if unsure about rye whiskeys. It is ok value, but there are one or two other brands that offer a better unique flavour at this lower end of the rye whiskey prices.

If you’re finding JD & Coke too sweet then...
I used to drink bourbon and coke as my standard top-shelf tipple, but started to find it too sweet as I got older (especially popular bourbons like Jack Daniels. I still loved the flavour, just not the sweetness) so I deliberately set out looking for a drier equivalent. This fits the bill perfectly; it’s both drier and spicier than bourbon, so if you happen to be in the same boat I was, this is definitely for you, and at this price I thoroughly recommend it.I also strongly recommend using Dr Pepper as a mixer for this instead of Coca Cola; it has a spicier flavour and only two-thirds of the sugar, which makes it a much better taste match for rye whiskey than normal coke. Add a couple of cubes of ice and you’ve got a great, rather idiosyncratic drink at a bargain price.

Good but not great.
While not a bad whiskey, I would say it's not one of my favorites. I drink mostly neat with no ice. This has a nice intial taste but I feel the spicy finish overpowers some of that taste and it loses it's character a little. This would make a great mixer though. As a sipper, I would stick with Jim Beam Double Oak or Woodford Reserve.
