I just got this mandolin and so far I've used it twice. Fingers are intact and there has been no blood!Seriously, I got rid of one I had years ago because I couldn't use it without injury and I've been hesitant to get another for that reason. However, I frequently use an air fryer and I wanted to make veggie chips and such. I couldn't slice them thin enough. I decided to take a chance on this one.Pros: The top sits on a container that catches the food and keeps the blade sturdy. No slippage or trying to balance the blades. So far, the blades have been sharp and the resulting slices have been uniform.It comes with a brush to clear the blades safely when cleaning.The blades can be washed on the top shelf of the dishwasher.The piece that holds the vegetable and keeps ones fingers safe is fairly easy to hold.Handy storage for blades and all the parts fit into the container for easy storage.Cons: It is sometimes hard to get the veggies to stick to the nails that hold it. Also, the surface available on the hand protector is small and some veggies, such as potatoes, have to be cut in half to fit.I'm finding it hard to slip the blades back into their storage box. You have to get it just right and it can be hit or missOverall, I am pleased with this purchase.

I have only used the slicing blade, and so far, it has been excellent. I appreciate having a container where you can slice or shred directly into it, which minimizes mess. The product is easy to clean and includes a cleaning brush, along with a caddy for holding the extra attachments. My only concern is that the top is slick, making it easy for a potato to slip away, so please be cautious. Overall, I am pleased with the product and look forward to trying the other attachments!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This vegetable slicer meets my expectations and needs. The attachments allow different size and type of slices to be made and it is dishwasher safe for easy cleaning. The provided container doubles as an easy and convenient storage case for the entire product.

I do like this, but I wish the little box that stores the different blades had a lid. Since they are sharp, someone, child or adult, could cut their fingers. Also, I don't like the idea that no lid means they could accidentally fall out of the box. I would have given this a 5 Star rating, but without a lid on the Blades box, it's just a 4 Star. It's easy to use. Does a great job in slicing veggies. Haven't tired the grater yet, but I think it will work nicely. Great product, but you need to have a good lid for the Blades box. Why did you pick this product vs others?:It's the best mandolin for the money. The blades are extremely sharp and do a great job with whatever you are slicing. It's a good investment.

Container arrived with a crack on, I feel like a product quality check should’ve been done before shipping but for a 19 dollar product I guess you get what you payed for, it just felt like too much of a hassle to return so I kept it … we tested the product shredding carrots and although it did shred it into fine pieces it doesn’t shred the whole thing, there’s about a 1/2 inch of vegetable that no matter how many times you slide it through the shredder it doesn’t slice. For the most part it works kinda well.

I don't know how I went for years not having this in my kitchen. I absolutely love it!
