It has always been the norm that if you want quality things you have to spend more. Not in this case, for just a few dollars you'll receive, not one, but 2 mechanical pencils of different lead sizes, plus 80 pieces of lead refills, 2 premium eraser, and 9 eraser replacements. I am really impressed. Not long ago I ordered from Amazon a mechanical pencil for 4 times the price of this kit. Just one pencil without any leads and no eraser replacement. These are high quality, all metal construction. The included lead refills are 2B which are great and smooth. The 2 sizes of .5 and .7 is perfect. I always bought them in this sizes for my sketches. This kit makes it easier for the students and professionals on a budget. Great set!

Great pencil set for multiple uses from homework to playing games like Dungeons and Dragons!

I went by the reviews and decded to purchase this set. I am impressed with the cost of this set. The pens feel good in the hands while sketching. Those are the pros. The con part. I was really getting frustrated with the 0.5 lead pen. The lead just kept breaking. I went through the lead quickly, with small broken pieces on the table. I needed it that thin for sketching purposes. I finally just gave up and went with a regular HB #2 pencil to do my sketching. I found the 0.7 to be really nice. But too thick for the type of sketching I was doing. The lead held up better while practicing. I gave it a 4 star just with having lead breaking on the 0.5. Otherwise a beautiful set.

I don't sketch or draw often, but when I do I often find that I've misplaced the pencils I need. This kit, assuming I remember to put things back, should remedy some of that.The mechanical pencils in the kit are nice, high-quality ones that look good too.The kit, of course, also includes everything else you might need, from a healthy supply of refills to decent-quality erasers.

This is a nice little pencil set, would be a good gift for an engineering student. The 0.5mm lead in the one pencil is perfect for detailed drawing/drafting work or small text. Some might prefer the 0.7mm pencil included instead. The pencils themselves are very well made, with a solid one-piece metal (aluminum) body which makes it comfortable, sturdy, and yet lightweight. Nicely knurled at the grip point. Set includes plenty of spare lead and erasers for both pencils, and also some big handheld erasers.Although this would make a nice gift, the plastic case it comes in is not exactly presentation quality.

I used to use Pentel mechanical pencils (0.5mm) for everything, then I moved to pen and ink. Recently, I had a hankering to try pencils again, so I got this set.These pencils are nice. When closed, the fine sleeve protecting the lead retracts—a nice touch. Mechanically, the pencils work just as well as the Pentels I recall with fondness.The set comes with a case for everything. It’s just a plastic case, but it holds the two erasers, the two pencils (0.5mm and 0.7mm) and four containers of lead. Not too bad, though I expect if I am out and about, I will just take the pencils and the erasers most of the time.Pleased with the set; would recommend.
