Excellent headphones for music
Reviewing after more than a year of use:(5 stars for sound / 4 stars for build quality)AKG is an Austrian company, now owned by Harman International of the famous harman/kardon brand of hi-fi equipment and JBL.If you're looking for a good pair of budget headphones for an Immersive listening experience, the K92 is perfect. They may not be the best looking ones, but the metal frame makes them quite sturdy, while most expensive brands are made completely of plastic.I bought these headphones purely for listening to music via my computer. The ear cups of my previous (decent) AKG K52s had become scruffy so I wanted to change and after scouting several hi-fi audio websites, decided to upgrade to the K92 which had good recommendations as opposed to the K72.The headphones deliver crisp, clear sound with no or minimal distortion (depending on your audio source or file). They have have a good audio frequency bandwidth (16 - 22000 Hz) which provides a wide dynamic range which means you get bold bass and clear treble. The low impedence of 32 ohms means that the headphones can be driven easily at low volume by a computer sound card without the need for an additional amplifier. A 40 mm driver delivers good bass which is not too punchy, but just right since these are studio monitoring headphones. On the downside, I am already noticing slight wear on the earcups (which I believe are replaceable).Overall, for the price, the AKG 92 is a steal. If you're into classical music, jazz, easy or popular music, I'd recommend these highly. Go for them without a doubt.Pros:* 40 mm driver delivers good low bass frequencies (not too punchy)* Low impedence (32 ohms) gives clear sound at low volume* Audio frequency bandwidth: 16 - 22000 Hz gives bold bass, good midtone and clear treble (very good for the price)* Earcups fit well (tightly) over the ears providing passive noise cancelling (not active)* Very enjoyable for classical music, jazz, popular and general listening* Fairly decent build quality (metal frame as opposed to full plastic)Cons:* Earcups degrade after a year of use* As with any over ear headphones, your ears become hot after prolonged use (should not be a problem in cold weather or an air-conditioned environment)* None otherwise

Excellent budget headphones from AKG
Its a very high quality product.Pros: Sound quality is excellent at this price. I am not an audio expert but I listen to audio of various kinds: rock, metal, jazz, kannada songs, youtube videos, podcasts, docus etc. There are no issues whatsover. Vocal quality as well as drums and guitars sound excellent. The headsets are comfortable for long use (Note: I dont wear specs).Cons: The only con for is the poor mic. You have to speak slightly louder than usual to get your voice out. So if you are very very particular about voice and mic then it may not be for youBut for my use, I am thoroughly enjoying it.

Amazing but it's not for everyone
So, here's some context before you read this... I am not an audio engineer or a seasoned audiophile by any means. That word gets thrown around a lot these days. I own a pair of Airpods Pro and needed a pair of secondary headsets for the following reasons. If you only want to know what they sound like, I've written about it at the end.1. Comfort: I needed something light weight and over-ear since the Airpods can start causing discomfort to your ears if you use them over prolonged periods of time. The AKG K52's are amazing at this. You'll pretty much forget that you have them on. One thing to remember here is that if you're in a hot environment, you could sweat around where the ear pads are. Overall, my ears are thanking me for this decision.2. Lossless Audio: If you own Bluetooth earphones like the Airpods/Airpods Pro/any Bluetooth headset, you'd be aware that it doesn't support lossless audio on Apple Music. If you'd really like to take a crack at that, these are some of the cheapest headsets with 40mm drivers. Your next best options are by Audio Technica but they cost significantly more. Since I was only looking for a secondary pair, this was a good middle ground.3. Not worry about batteries: Owning bluetooth headsets can be agonising if you wanna listen for long hours. Especially since in between I'm just watching random YouTube videos. So, I decided to pick up these wired ones. How do they sound?A: Well, they sound great but this largely depends on your taste in music. They have a very neutral sound profile. If I had to point out the biggest difference between Airpod Pro's and these is 'Immersion'. These definitely don't feel as immersive as more expensive headsets but that would be unfair to expect at the price.I'm not saying they're "good for the price", they're just good in general. But don't expect a thumping bass or exaggerated sound profiles, it's not meant for that. I'd recommend other headsets for those. If you're into Low-fi Hip Hop, Chill mellow music, Jazz, Acoustic music etc. these are insanely good. Great for podcasts as well. But if you're someone who loves to blow the music out at full volume and enjoy some good deep bass / loud Bollywood (I do too from time to time), these aren't the headsets for it. It can be slightly uncomfortable to listen to these at 100% volume for long hours. They're best at 50% so you can relax and work while you're listening to music.Hope that's as detailed as possible for you to make your decision. :)

One of the best flat sounding monitoring headphones
Its been 2 years I've been using this headphone, hasn't broke or anything.Just the fake leather coating starts to rip off after some time of use from the cushions and the headband, but its great this way. It is very lightweight and comfortable.Have been using this headphones for sound designing for films and stuff. But if you want something for music/dubbing related, go for AT-m50x or K72. M50x is over ear so it might start to become uncomfortable for longer duration, k72 and K52 are over ears so long sessions no problem go for it
