Stops the draft
Half inflate it stick it in place then full inflate and it stops the freezing draft I used to get down the chimney.

Undurable, over priced and poor quality
I give both good and bad reviews when they are deserved, to aid other potential customers and sometimes in the hope that the manufacturer will take heed.The plastic balloon on this product is around the thickness of a 10p supermarket carrier bag. It is not at all a durable material that may be subjected to mildly sharp bits of brick etc you would LIKELY find up a chimney. It also has a superfluous joint in the plastic feed pipe that should bedesigned out of this product. I had to secure the latter.I very gently inserted this product into the chimney and gently blew it up. I could hear hissing quite soon afterwards. I deflated it and eased it out to duct tape over the holes. I also duct taped a few bits that looked to be slightly damaged.A chimney over many years use will have bits of the cement courses falling out due to the heating and cooling effects when the fire is or isn't in use. This will leave to jagged edges within the flue. This product is so cheaply made and should have a much thicker material for the balloon to mitigate.I will not be using this product again unless they make a product that is fit for purpose.

Works better than expected
It definingly worked as the dust pass the torch beam now stop rushing through the opening and up the chimney. The install was straight forward but the mouth piece tube is rubbish and it will not stay connected when inflating the device.So far it is doing what it says on the tin, happy to report back in a few months and see if it stays up there.

Keeping the draft out
In the chimney keeping drafts out as well as stopping random bits of twig, etc falling into the fireplace. Fits well and maintains its inflation. Easy to instal too.

Doesn’t Work
Rubbish. Balloon deflated within days. Not effective.

Good insulator.
Does a good job keeping the wind out and insects also. Good price also

Not the answer
Not a great product really. Disappointed with this purchase. Not particularly easy to install. Once inflated I had some faith in it but I think it managed a day or two up the chimney before it fell down.
