I watched a Netflix series “salt fat acid heat” and the chef recommended it. She said that alot of chefs use this salt since it’s less salty than other brands and it takes a little bit getting used to how much to use but let me tell you. Once you get the hang of the amount, oh man! This salt is really life changing when cooking.Texture: large flakes than your regular table salt which allows for a lot more surface area for your salt to adhere to which greats a better tase.When prepping steak: the great thing about this is it draws more of the moisture which creates a better crust on your steak when you’re cooking it.Great value for your money.Taste is awesome!I did an infusion of British thyme/rosemary and this salt for a rub for my steak the other day and it was phenomenal.Cheers ! pretty much the only kosher salt you want to use. No anti caking agents, just salt. Uniform texture, great tasting, all natural salt.

This is a great salt. The flakes are big and "fluffy" I prefer this to some other brands of Kosher salt as it feels a little better when sprinkling on stuff and the crystals are "fluffier" and not rock hard. It does cost more, so I cannot say that the overall taste is going to be noticeable unless you are eating it directly or say put a sprinkling on a piece of french bread with butter. If you can get it at a good price then it really is worth a try.

After reading about how toxic Celtic Sea salt was and Redmond salt as well, I found that a lot of other salts have heavy metals in them as well. This salt was taken to a laboratory for a proper assay. It is about the pure assault you're going to be able to buy. A lot of other kosher salts are contaminated. This one passed the test and it's the only reason I bought it. Essentially it's nothing but sodium chloride. It appears not to have any other minerals in it. Which is a trade off. Because you're not getting the heavy metals but you're also not getting any other micro minerals either. So you have choices ahead.

Be sure to follow recipes carefully for how much salt to put in because diamond crystal and Morton are both very different in weight compared to volume. I bought this because some recipes specifically called for it and I didn't have this one I had the other and now I have both. Sometimes it doesn't matter but sometimes it does.

I freaking love this stuff. I use it every day, it is excellent for cooking and baking. Does not taste chemically, just delightfully salty. It is one of the few things I re order consistently and for several years now. My only complaint is with the shipping/packaging, which is inconsistent. Sometimes everything is securely packages and taped and the box is pristine. Sometimes everything has a fine layer of salty dust and the box is a bit banged up. But the salt, yum every time!
