IT WORKS LIKE A CHARM.
I have only used this as a 4G LTE hot spot so far at my house testing it. My old Night Hawk hot spot did ok getting a few bars and 3 to 4 mbp downloads speeds. With the Winegard Connect 2.0 4 G LTE I'm getting around 12 mbp down and up load is around 10 mbp. A vast improvement over what I had before., I have not tried it as an extender yet. I will be putting it up on the camper soon and wll test the extender part before I do. If I have issues with it I will report back here on it. I doubt I do. This thing is simple. Works well. The software is written so even a dummy can get through it. Not sure if it had issues when it was first released or if people are just bashing because they have no idea what they are doing or it is not the same product. It works very well.BOTTOM LINE. IT WORKS LIKE A CHARM.UPDATE: 3 months later. The ConnecT 2.0 has been almost flawless. We drove from North Carolina to Grand Tetons Wyoming and never lost signal but one time due to mountains at 8000 to 9800 feet high. We have been in the Grand Tetons employee campground for almost 3 months and it has worked great. We get about 18MBPS download and about 1.5 MBPS upload. Streaming with Roku and watching all the normal stuff. Netflix and others. I installed it on our camper roof and it was as easy as one could ask for. I can't say enough about how well this has worked. I tested the WiFi extender and it worked very well also. My AT@T service is cheap and unlimited and works very well with the ConnecT 2.0.I can't say enough good things about how well this works. We bought ours in late May from Amazon. It has never had any issues and the set up is so very simple. Bottom line. Worth every penny. My only wish is that is could be upgraded to 5G when the time comes and 4G is dropped. It will happen in a few years I'm sure. Just as 3G was dropped.

Winegard ConnecT 2.0 Wi-Fi Extender
During a recent stay at a campground in Montana we had booked 8 weeks in their dry camping area. What we didn't realize at the time was that the spot that they put us in was way down in the bottom of the park, behind some trees and behind a building and up a hill away from the nearest internet repeater. The owner of the park told us it would be doubtful if I would get internet at all down there.Well I'm here to tell you that this unit does the job and then some! We had no problem connecting to their internet the whole time we were there. I showed the owner of the park and he was amazed at how well this unit worked. I was able to stream Hulu, Netflix and ABC All Access plus check my email, and browse the web with ease. And the fact that it runs on 12v was just the frosting on the cake as far as I'm concerned. In the areas where we camp a lot we often do not have power other than our generator which we only like to use to charge our battery banks up with.

Unreliable - Support not overly effective
At&T 4g using Winegard plan suddenly stopped working wr have 1.7GB left on 10GB plan, but says LTE access denied. Unit reboots at random for fun and for profit. Really not a picnic when changing wifi hot spots. We are recommending other 4G and WIFI solutions to our friends. This solution to others.Update Trying to get support, antenna rebooting on wifi and 4G for no apparent reason:Submitted Support request as follows: (Keep in mind the we have not really used the Antenna much yet, because it will not stay up. It is in testing phase. Tested in several Regions of the Western United States, Campgrounds, Highway use, and Boondocking)Product Category: RV - Digital AntennaCreated At: Sun, May 3, 2020 11:03 AMMessage: Winegard 2.0 connect has been in service about a month. It makes our Remote desktop connections to our customers rather difficult to maintain, and make our business look bad."What is the product model number?"As stated earlier in my support request - Model: Winegard ConnecT 2 WF/4G Serial No: WGC00171AD3D773 Mac Address: 00:17:1A:D3:D7:73 Software Version: WGEX-BOTH-20191220"Have you changed any of the local WiFi settings which would reset the unit?"I connect to other WIFI sources when the one I am connected to is no longer working on the Winegard. The Winegard loses the ability to talk to them at random. The winegard does a reset every time I change WIFI sources. Then my devices connect to any available source around me. Makes changing wifi sources a real pain. As I am always having to reconnect to the Winegard after it resets. Since the reset only works about half the time, I might have to reconnect to the Winegard four or five times before it decides to connect to the new source. Compared to the random reboot which is our chief issue, this is just very irritating."What is the backhaul selected (4G LTE or WiFi)"Both Depends on where I am, I travel with the Winegard. I use the AT&T 4G in some locations like where I am now in Sagle Idaho.""I bought the 10GB plan for $60 it worked fine for about two days. Now the Winegard software says I have only 1.7GB left on the plan, which seems unreasonably low since I am using other WIFI sources here as well. I balance my work between my Verizon WIFI, Viasat, and At&T MIFI and the Winegard At&T service. The only device giving us fits, is WineGard. The 4G side of the Winegard has a 4G icon on the service screen. When I hover the mouse over the Icon, it said 4G access is denied. After a few days, it has changed 4G not available. I have At&T car connect on another A&T device, parked next to my RV, and am having no connectivity issues with that.""The WIFI side is just unreliable: If we aim the Winegard at The Viasat tranciever it works for a time, but drops off randomly. The WIfi portion of the antenna is the least reliable part of the Winegard."When you say speeds are slow, we need to be specific (LTE Mode or WiFi Mode)?"We Never said the speeds were slow, when it’s working, it’s awesome"Who is your carrier, Winegard, Togo, AT&T, Verizon, Other"Winegard"Is a software update available? What is the current software version?"I updated the software about a week back - Software Version: WGEX-BOTH-20191220"Is the modem up-to-date? All these devices work fine with Our Verizon mifi, our AT&T car connect using Zyxel ZTE modem, the Viasat, The Linksys range extender and other Wifi hot spots in town. Yes, we do keep our WIFI card and other peripherals up to date."" I also mentioned that when I filled out your support request form on the Winegard unit, the text boxes were black, and the text I was typing is black as well. Making filling out the support request a real pain. Contrast between text and the box we are typing in would be nice. You might want to check that out."" I am assuming by the questions, this email was sent to me by a robot, or the questions would have been different. 😊 From a customer service point of view, it would be better to have a human read the support request first. This took quite a bit of time to fill out again. Just a thought.""Thanks for any help you can give. If the winegard gets 5Mhz WIFI some day that would be awesome, but I still like the idea over my weboost and ubiquiti bullet. They work great, but set up everytime I travel setting them up again is a chore. Winegard is on the right track. We just need to work together to get it working so I can recommend it to other customers of ours. - Thanks"Winegard Response:(They are now in quotes)"After looking into this customer’s usage I don’t show there to be any issue. They are currently out of data as shown from AT&T they’ve used all 10GB (we actually allow more than they purchased). "Though we believe the Antenna was having a great time browsing the internet without our using it. There was no one else using it either as we are many miles from other people right now." The data usage, was not the question we were trying to get answered. The question is why does the antenna keep rebooting all day. It is nearly impossible to use.Winegard seems to have no desire to support us on this. We appear to be on our own. Since we sell PC, WIFI for a living, usually CISCO, TP link and Ubiquity products we will try to get this working ourselves. We will not be recommending Winegard to our customers, friends, and relatives. The support costs would be too high for us.
